Lou Dobbs is a tactical propagandist worse than Dr. Joseph Goebbels — “Minister for Public Enlightenment & Propaganda in Nazi Germany”
Last night (05/02/2007), Lou Dobbs, the anchor and managing editor of CNN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight held another of his so called “Broken Borders” a.k.a “Bash All Immigrants To Submission” town hall meeting in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
As expected, Mr. Dobbs, a “populist confederate native,” hosted a cleverly choreographed meeting in which he (Lou Dobbs) hand picked a powerful array of “anti-immigrant professionals” as participants, armed with monstrously distorted figures, as opposed to a pittance of representation from the pro-immigration lobby — a few Hispanic Americans who even though well-meaning, could hardly express themselves with sophistication matching that of Lou’s hired right-wing “distortionists.”
To ensure that the pro-immigrant participants never fully put their points across, Lou, in numerous instances, cleverly cut to commercials every time a participant raised strong point.
To underscore Mr. Dobbs’s obsession with the Mexican border and illegal immigration, I counted the words “illegal” and “alien” at least 30 times in his introductory speech, in which his approximation of the number of undocumented immigrants rose dramatically from 12 million to a “certain” 20+ million — subliminal messages to the racist, confederate and intolerant portion of the USA — including the same ill-educated masses who were previously cajoled, bamboozled and “fear-mongered” into electing a thoroughly incompetent president, on a right-wing “Jesus and Us Only” platform.
Lou Dobbs in his show(s), always asserts that illegal aliens are sending back to Mexico more than $20 billion in remittances per year, without equally mentioning how much US companies operating in Mexico bring back home by exploiting cheap labor in Mexico and the rest of the world for that matter.
Also, with unemployment at a record low of 4.7%, it doesn’t seem to me like immigrants are stealing jobs from Americans — Mr. Dobbs!.
There was one comical moment during the meeting when a thoroughly mis-informed (probably paid by Lou Dobbs) 82 year old black man, resplendently bedecked with military medals, jumped onto the stage claiming that immigrants have “stolen jobs” from his two sons in New Jersey.
For a black man, who must have experienced racism at its worst in his early life, to stoop so low — is very disturbing indeed. If I ever live to the ripe old age of 82, I envision myself to be a model of compassion and not a theatrical Uncle-Tom like this moron!
Although it must not be construed to constitute a valid reason to gate-crash the borders of the United States, I must note that this country is what it is — an economic giant, to a large extent because of years of economic exploitation and extortion of the rest of the world through it’s huge and greedy companies, and the tactical use of arm twisting tools like the World Bank, among many others.
“We are protecting English!,” screamed Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta — “I am doing what my community elected me to do!” “The people that are in this country illegally are draining the resources and draining budgets that are meant to be used to provide services for those that are here legally and paying taxes,” said Mr. Barletta, without bringing to the foreground — the fact that a big chunk of these “illegal immigrants” are paying taxes like anybody else and also contributing to a social security system that they will never benefit from as long as they stay “illegal” — “fake ID’s” or not.
One “expert” from the Heritage Foundation, an organization that spends much of it’s money pushing “right wing” ideas in the media, insinuated that legalizing 12 million “illegal immigrants” will bankrupt the United States.
Hogwash!
“Immigrants are leaving my town in the middle of the night!,” gloated Barletta, amid wild cheers by a large section of the crowd — most likely a bunch of blood thirsty rednecks choking with bigotry and racism — “sweet home Pennsylvania!”
As far as I am concerned, any person who has lived in the United States for several years, has participated fully in the system, and has no felonious mis-deeds, belongs here and ought to be treated with some respect — the “depot them all” attitude of Lou Dobbs and co., is not only inhuman but also bigoted to the core.
The two Lous - Dobbs and Barletta, are just two of the many “America is for us and only us” white bigots who will stop at nothing short of mass deportation of everyone who doesn’t look like them, for when they fail to mentioned the “positives” and instead inflame the “negatives,” they are criminally inciting a largely “TV Educated” population, that is totally incapable of a high level of information synthesis — they take in the lies and distortions — hook, line and sinker!
In a country where racism is held back in check by a cordon of laws (which are not always uniformly and fairly applied), I submit that this “distortionist” adventure which CNN and Lou Dobbs are engaged in, is not only dangerous but thoroughly unfair.
This “town hall” gathering as far as I am concerned, is a “sanctioned hate meeting” — cleverly woven into the fabric of mainstream media for profit and to promote white supremacy — a trend perfected by Fox News, the “Fair and Balanced” garbage news channel.
Here is what they hope to achieve: To scare “illegal immigrants” into submission as demonstrated by the LA ‘Gestapo’ police. [L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa condemns the Los Angeles Police Department]
How about getting them out of the woodwork and finding out who is who? Scaring them will drive them further underground — making it harder to find and track the “imaginary terrorists” you fear so much!
There is a need to look at this issue intelligently, humanely and with fairness, for no one wants to be hit by Osama Bin Laden — secure the borders [build a 60 ft wall if that's what pleases you] but let all those who have been living in the shadows come out and be counted. You can bet the criminal ones will continue hiding, but the hard working immigrants who have roots in this country must be allowed to fulfill their dreams.
By “stroking and massaging” the dormant “hate genes” residing within the “nativist nincompoops,” Lou Dobbs and other right-wing demagogues are making the process of legislating the immigration issue immensely torturous, if not impossible.
Their firm stand — “depot them all,” “we are a nation of laws” — is just a smokescreen for — “we wish this good old USA was 100% lily white.” …. a convenient tool for extortion. — the vicious and racist history of this country refers.
America is a nation of immigrants. Obviously, the flow of immigrants must be controlled and regulated in a fair manner, but we must not allow the issue to be hijacked and used to transport the racist agenda of “propagandist extortionists” like Lou Dobbs and the hateful, right wing, confederate “Macaca” maniacs.

The writer of this article commits several errors in stating facts. These errors may be intentional or unintentional, but the facts need to be set straight:
Error 1
Lou Dobbs in his show(s), always asserts that illegal aliens are sending back to Mexico more than $20 billion in remittances per year, without equally mentioning how much US companies operating in Mexico bring back home by exploiting cheap labor in Mexico and the rest of the world for that matter.
LOU DOBBS OFTEN MENTIONS HOW MUCH MONEY COMPANIES THAT HAVE OUTSOURCED ARE EARNING. THESE COMPANIES “BRING BACK HOME” TYPICALLY BRING IT BACK TO THEIR OWN COFFERS IN THE FORM OF PROFITS OR DEPOSITS TO OFFSHORE BANK ACCOUNTS, NEITHER OF WHICH BENEFITS THE AMERICAN WORKING CLASS.
Error 2:

My Rebuttal: Your statement is true, I have heard him say that before…and it is no secret that multi-national American companies are greedy — but it seems you are forgetting the reason why your Hamburger costs only a dollar.
Hypothetically, if all jobs were shipped back to America (which will never happen), you will find something else to scream about, when the price of your burger rises to $6.00, rendering your “high wages” useless.

Lou Dobbs ‘pretends’ to be interested in the TRUTH ONLY, then he uses all legitimate immigration concerns to VILIFY, CRIMINALIZE all immigrants — one easy way for him, is to use the word ALIEN numerous time in one sentence, in various permutations: ILLEGAL ALIENS…CRIMINAL ALIENS….ILLEGAL DRUG DEALERS…ILLEGAL ALIEN DRUG DEALERS…ETC. — a well used propaganda tactic in NAZI Germany — smothering ‘legitimate’ concerns (that would otherwise be handled in rational way) in lies, distortions and outright fabrications.
Then he tops it with what he always calls: ‘The best Radio Talk Show hosts in America’ — Usually a group of FAT bigots, sometimes accompanied by a sprinkling of ReTHUGliTOM blacks shackled by the Negrophobia Syndrome.

I don’t know how you came to such erroneous misinformation about my ethnicity, but you really need to get down off your high horse and discuss issues. It ill-becomes you to make silly accusations about someone whose ideas you can’t address, and you are reduced to hysterical bashes. Don’t bother to try to “debate” me again. James, you need to back up and take a good look at your own illogic, unless you feel that any law being broken by a large number of people is a bad law per se. If you feel that way, all I can do is disagree with you and let you go your merry way. If you feel that breaking the law has anything to do with ethnicity, you’re badly mistaken. Your feeling sorry for me for being anything but white sort of reveals which of us is the racist, doesn’t it? And for your sake, I fervently hope that no one in bad need of “documentation” ever usurps your identity by misusing your social security number.

Laws can be ammended to address a situation — but people like you have refused to let any of that happen.
Immigrants who habitually commit crimes have no business being here, but those whose only ‘crime’ is coming in to seek a better life ….ought to be given a chance.
Most of the 12 million have expired visas but valid social security numbers, and in many instances valid IDs — they were inspected when they came into the United States. Many are students, many are degreed….many are useful to this society. It is very unfortunate that you are totally oblivious of that.
Bunching them all together as “SSN THIEVES” or “LEPROSY CARRIERS (Per Lou Dobbs)” is vicious bigotry.
Even in South Africa — blacks did not chase away whites when Mandela took over, even after years of killings, beatings and death brought about by the white minority (In a land that did not belong to them) — they found a way to work things out, and many of the worst white criminals still live in South Africa — as citizens. One of these ‘un-repentant’ criminals went to his grave a few days ago still chanting: “WHITE POWER….WHITE POWER..WHITE POWER….IT’S THE LAW…IT’S THE LAW!!!

Your evident utopian dream of all the needy people in the world finding the “American Dream” is a noble dream.
But you show perfectly clear that you are trying to justify your own arguments based on exaggeration and fantasy. You lose perspective when you refuse to see the difference between “some” and “all”. Lou Dobbs has pointed out problems caused by “some” of the illegal immigrants, and you hasten to label him as claiming it about “all” of them.
If you can think of a way to bring order to the flow of immigrants into our country without preventing ILLEGAL entry, I’d like to hear it.
You are too rabid on too many issues for me to discuss more than one of them at a time with you. But let’s take your stance on Lou’s mention of leprosy and other diseases. If you don’t believe that mass migration, if unchecked and uncontrolled, is historically a major cause of the spread of several diseases, you are simply not reading history. Notice that I say “unchecked” and “uncontrolled”. I have a feeling you will be claiming from my remark that I advocate the total closure of our borders to immigrants. You’ve falsely accused Lou Dobbs of that. I do not advocate that, and neither does Lou Dobbs. But to advocate, as you apparently do, a flood of people coming into the country without any control whatsoever is to invite potentially disastrous pandemics — medical, legal, and economic. It also invites the demise of the United States as a national entity. Illegal immigrants are unchecked and uncontrolled migrants (they are not IMmigrants in the true sense of the word, and we have no way of knowing what problems they bring. At least with legal immigration, there is to some extent a modicum of control.
I am descended from immigrants, and am proud of that fact. I am also glad that my ancestors were not part of those earlier “immigrants” who engaged in the genocide of native Americans. But one fact of life these days is that nations have governments, governments have laws, and most of those laws are intended to provide an orderly way of life for the nation’s inhabitants, whether they are citizens or visitors. Not every American law is benevolent, but I defy you to name a country with better laws than ours, when taken as a composite body of law. If our laws are unjust, they should be changed in an orderly way, not by the kind of upheaval we see in most parts of the discontented world.
Now I’m going to give you an analogy I’m sure you will rant about if you reply to it at all. Imagine cooking Thanksgiving Dinner, inviting 10 friends, and have 1,000 friends show up and declare that they are here to stay at your place. Unless you are able to feed a multitude with a couple of loaves and a fish or two, you’re going to have a problem on your hands. And the odds are about 100 to 1 (I’m guessing, since I’m no statistician), that at somebody in the crowd, but NOT ALL, will bring you a nice case of the flu. Notice I’m not saying that you invited anybody based on their race or national origin, but there the crowd is. Are you going to greet them with open arms,and say “Come on in, there’s plenty for everybody!”…..?

You have missed the point again:
I am not against controlled immigration. I am againstanyone using the issue to TRANSPORT RACISM & BIGOTRY, therefore blocking meaningful legislation, by influencing Senators and Congressmen who are afraid to lose their seats.
There is nothing new or utopian about what I am taking about — that, during times of war and economic uncertainty, the racists come out of their holes, and use hot-button issues such as immigration to ‘confuse’ and to spread fear.
Your solution is: Kick them all out (all 12 million) without any consideration whatsoever!
My solution is: Build your wall around America (all round including Canada), then decide who stays and who goes among the 12 million, and henceforth control immigration more uniformly. Habitual felons out, the rest stay — I state this very clearly in my article.
You have conveniently ignored the fact that most of these 12 million are visa overstays — students and so on. It most instances, they are already ‘documented,’ and were inspected at the point of entry.
Your exclusive target is Mexicans who cross the body, the people who are getting ready to ’slice off South Western USA,’ and ‘pay no taxes!’
Not every immigrant is a Mexican, and not every immigrant on an expired visa is undocumented.
Words like pandemic,’ ‘Leprosy,’ ‘national entity,’ — are Lou Dobb’s, Pat Buchanan’s and ‘Minutemen’ words. All well known ReTHUGlican bigots.
