Similarities between Republicans and The KKK (Ku Klux Klan)

Posted on 16 May 2007                                                                                                             Bookmark and Share

The Republican Party under the stewardship of Abraham Lincoln is supposed to have “freed” blacks from slavery — I believe not because they felt it was the moral thing to do (a few may have been against slavery for moral reasons), but because of the fear of racial revolt (South Africa’s De Klerk saw the wisdom too), and for political gain against the Democrats, who believe it or not were equally viciously racist, prior to the late fifties and early sixties.

Lincoln was just as racist as all of them, probably just a shrewder politician during that time. Some sources report that he had considered freeing black slaves by deporting them to back to Africa.

Prior to the early sixties, hapless blacks were played like political footballs between Democrats and Republicans. After the Kennedy presidency, the Democrats have had a grip on the black vote — and have taken it for granted thus far, mostly due to the notion that Democrats hold black civil rights issues dear — something that is not entirely true.

Meanwhile, the Republicans have made feeble and hypocritical efforts to include blacks and other ethnic minorities under their umbrella.

The Republican platform of today is eerily similar to that of the yester “hooded” and today’s “military fatigued” Klan.

Their platform extols the virtues of “Family Values and Morality” — The Klan were the “moral police” of the south and routinely beat up or killed women who had sex outside marriage.

Today, Republican’s literally, get a “hard-on,” when they discuss abortion — they preach the hypocritical and impractical position: No abortions even if a woman has been raped, or her life is in danger due to pregnancy complications.

Who is to decide for a woman what to do with her body? White males? White Republicans?

Republicans use the issue of immigration to transport and justify their agenda of hate — Frightened right-wingers gather often, to plot how to keep the ‘Cradle of the Confederacy‘ safe from “leprosy, pedophiles, Hispanic immigrants, blacks and rampant godlessness.”

Or when, the “predatory” Republican congressman, Tom Tancredo meets with and pep-talks white supremacist groups, or calls Miami a third world nation, and expressly joins the Presidential race, for one and only one purpose — to “stir up” the base of the party — the racist right wing, composed of KKK like individuals, and millions of “Jesus Freaks” — the Al Qaeda of America.

For these dirt-bags, at the top of the hate stack, are blacks and Latino immigrants and sometimes Jews — but, hey, they practically own America — smart people!

The KKK states that it is a Christian organization — Christianity teaches compassion and tolerance, therefore it is ironical that an organization based on hate, violence and oppression claims it follows the guidance of Christianity?

The Republican party whose “base” and its malcontents, bestows Christian morality upon itself — and this has not stopped it’s leaders from opposing numerous civil rights legistative issues in Congress, and the Senate, for example, on June 13, 2005, nineteen Republican Senators and one Democrat refused to co-sponsor the Anti-Lynching Resolution: S.RES.39.

Need I say, that the current crop of Republican Presidential candidates are a bunch of flip-flopping, multiple divorcees — “moral Christians,”…… blasphemy!

At the peak of slavery, despite the general loathing of blacks, many racists slept with and impregnated black women — “THEFT!” as far as I am concerned.

Similarly, the Republican party of today steals votes by manipulating voting machines and using strong-arm tactics to scare away black voters — George Bush got elected twice under dubious circumstances — via monstrous deceit, fear mongering and outright theft.

In the 2004 Presidential Election, Republicans prevented more than 350,000 voters in Ohio from casting ballots or having their votes counted — enough to have put John Kerry in the White House.

Well, “a thief has 40 days,” and on the fortieth day, he stumbled into a “mammoth hole” — a.k.a Iraq

The Fifteenth Amendment, adopted in 1870, guaranteed the right to vote to Americans regardless of their race or religion, yet even today, Republicans will do anything and everything, including mis-use of government resources to steal votes, commit atrocities and to persecute minorities — especially immigrants.

The relentless “childish and demonic” bashing of presidential candidate — Barack Obama, refers.

To sum things up — The Republican Party and most, if not all, who support it, are essentially hiding under its “umbrella of intolerance,” borrowed from yester year’s KKK ….. and to a large extent, the thousands of hate groups that liter the United States.

The Republican Party — party of the now dead Rev. Falwell’s “moral majority,” is a congregation of vicious crooks, with ZERO credibility, bent on pushing America back to the deep and dark abyss of bigotry and racism, and away from its constitutional foundations.
