Racism goes on trial again in America’s Deep South. The prosecution of three black Louisiana youths reveals the rise of discrimination by stealth.

Jena is gaining national notoriety as an example of the new ’stealth’ racism, showing how lightly sleep the demons of racial prejudice in America’s Deep South, even in the year that a black man, Barak Obama, is a serious candidate for the White House.

The post here is good in that it gives me some background; it has been years since I lived in the US South. I went there in my early thirties for an intended permanent stay after visits in my early twenties.

The corporate media has exploited the Jena, Louisiana story, as have numerous so called leaders. So called rights organizations in the US have and still are highlighting but a few of thousands of situations like the Jena 6. The fact is there are too many to list.

As one who fought on the grassroots level versus the new (’90s New South onward) racist system in the US South I say that distortion and omission of what really happens there is a given.

What I mean is that to achieve something meaningful for the injustices can ultimately be the scrapping of the mentality of reforming a society made to oppress.

That is a threat to the existing theory that screams about the Jena 6 while ignoring causes and a fluid system.

The US government cannot cure and has never cured the illness it fosters. Anyone who can prove it did or will do this, don’t hesitate to enlighten a people who held their own despite a Washington DC gun to the head for 400 years.

As an exile, a US Political Exile, this partly drives me to work on the international law level.

    Keep Strong,

    Bankole

But I had this scope long before I left the battlefront in the place called Dixie.

Nooses‘ are appearing everywhere in the U.S., at this moment of anti-immigrant xenophobia, fueled by the demagoguery of the ReTHUGlican Party, in concert with an ‘emboldened‘ right-wing news media.

The so-called land of opportunity and freedom is a ‘dormant volcano,’ insidiously simmering with oppressive Racism.

Here is some wisdom: — America is a country born of hypocrisy and nurtured in racism and oppression.
