Το «σλόγκαν» της προεδρικής εκστρατείας είναι «πράκτορας αλλαγής» όλοι οι υποψήφιοι υποστηρίζουν ότι μόνο μπορούν να επιφέρουν την αλλαγή στην Ουάσιγκτον και στο έθνος.
Όλοι οι προεδρικοί αισιόδοξοι GOP είναι μέσης ηλικίας, πλούσια, λευκά άτομα εάν ένας από τους κερδίζει θα είναι μια περίπτωση «συναντά το νέο προϊστάμενο, όπως τον παλαιό προϊστάμενο.»
Οι Δημοκρατικοί επιμένουν ότι είναι πράκτορες αλλαγής, αλλά όταν το Ιράκ και άλλα σημαντικά ζητήματα, τραγουδούν το ίδιο τραγούδι με τον αισθητικά άμουσο Πρόεδρο.
Ο δημοκρατικός τομέας των υποψηφίων είναι πιό εθνικά και ιδεολογικά διαφορετικός, αλλά μπορεί ένας από τους να αναγγείλει αληθινά μέσα μια περίοδο αλλαγής;
Θα ήταν ιστορικό εάν Χίλαρυ Clinton γίνεται πρώτος θηλυκός Πρόεδρος των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών. Αλλά τίποτα δεν θα αλλάξει κάτω από μια κυβέρνηση Χίλαρυ - είναι η ίδια η ενσωμάτωση της παλαιάς πολιτικής μηχανών.
Το τελευταίο πράγμα που αυτή η χώρα χρειάζεται είναι ο ένα άλλο Μπους ή Clinton στο λευκό οίκο. Για σχεδόν τρεις δεκαετίες που ο θάμνος και οι πολιτικές δυναστείες Clinton είχαν έναν ασφυκτικό κλοιό στη δύναμη, είναι υψηλός χρόνος για μια αλλαγή.
Ύφασμα. Η πλατφόρμα του Dennis Kucinich's είναι επαναστατική και είναι αξιόπιστος πράκτορας αλλαγής, αλλά έχει την πιθανότητα χιονιών στην κόλαση της νίκης του διορισμού.
Ο γερουσιαστής Barack Obama είναι ο μόνος πράκτορας αλλαγής με μια ρεαλιστική πιθανότητα τη γενική εκλογή.

Obama’s eloquence is matched by deeds: Years of standing up for the disenfranchised and oppressed. After getting a law degree from Harvard Obama didn’t join a corporate law firm to make tons of money, instead he moved to Chicago to work as a community organizer.
Obama has been against the Iraq war from the beginning; Hillary voted in favor of giving Bush carte blanche to invade Iraq. Hillary voted in favor of declaring the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization; an anti-war candidate would never give Bush a fig leaf to declare war on Iran. Obama, a fresh face with a new vision, did not vote in the affirmative on this crucial matter.
Don’t be deceived by presidential contestants with the old warmonger mentality who proclaim themselves as agents of change. A vote for Hillary or for any of the Republican candidates will be a vote for perpetual war.
Electing a relatively young African American to the White House would send a strong signal to the rest of the world that “the times they are a-changing.” Vote change; vote for Sen. Barack Obama
