Fox News’ mealy mouthed con-man cum segregationist Bill O’Reilly and tabloid newsman Geraldo Rivera, blew hard at each other the other day on O’Reilly’s TV show( April 5th, 2007 ) — dubbed “The O’Reilly Factor,” a platform for race baiting, subjective news analysis and monstrous distortions.

Fox News is the News Channel of choice for biased right-wing bigots and partisan Republicans, and the fact that it regularly beats CNN in ratings domestically, is testimony that most of America is still rabidly racist and bigoted — seething predators, waiting to be unleashed on non-whites, especially immigrants of Latino decent.

The issue at hand was as follows: A young girl was tragically killed by a drunk driver in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Bill O’Reilly interviewed the father and sister of one of the two teenage victims only hours after the funeral.

O’Reilly used the deaths to highlight the alleged illegal immigrant status of the man charged in the deaths, and to go after government officials and law enforcement in Virginia Beach and the state of Virginia for harboring him in the so-called “sanctuary city.”

Rivera dis-agreed, emphasizing that the case is about the tragedy of drunk driving and should not be used to demonize immigrants.

Both men got very angry and almost came to blows.
