De democratische benoemde voor voorzitter zal Afrikaanse Amerikaans of een vrouw zijn. Het perspectief op geschiedenis die miljoenen nieuwe kiezers aan de Democratische partij gebracht wordt gemaakt heeft. De democraten zijn opgetogen met zowel Barack Obama als Hillary Clinton.

Sen. John McCain, de vermoedelijke Republikeinse benoemde is een 71 éénjarigen witte kerel die al charisma van een gerimpelde en bedorven gedroogde pruim heeft.

De republikeinen zijn wanhopig om één of ander kruid aan het kaartje toe te voegen GOP; sommige conservatieve commentators duwen voor McCain om Staatssecretaris Condoleezza Rice als zijn lopende partner te selecteren.

Condi heeft een uitgebreide ervaring in buitenlandse zaken, en zij is goed gekwalificeerd bevelhebber-in-belangrijkst om te zijn. Maar niemand weet waar zij zich op kwesties belangrijk voor conservatieven, zoals abortus en immigratie bevindt.

De republikeinen willen haar als ondervoorzitter eenvoudig lopen omdat zij een zwart wijfje is. Dit is tokenism en cynisme bij zijn zeer het slechtst; De republikeinen zouden van zich beschaamd moeten zijn.

Condi kan zwart zijn en zij kan vrouwelijk zijn, maar niets in haar geschiedenis stelt voor dat zij de oorzaak van vrouwen of minderheden zou vooruitgaan.
