Bill And Hillary Clinton: Scandals R Us

Posted on 09 March 2008                                                                                                             Bookmark and Share

Every McDonald’s restaurant has a big sign that proclaims, “Billions and Billions Served.” If the Bill and Hillary reality show recaptures the White House, they should erect a huge billboard that reads, “Billions and Billions of Scandals” or perhaps, “Scandals R Us.”

Most presidents suffer a scandal, minor or major, that is a part of their legacy. Watergate consumed and destroyed the Nixon administration, but Contragate was a major blemish that the Reagan administration was able to overcome.

The Clintons (they are one entity) don’t have one scandal that defines their political career, they have tons of scandals. I could recite the litany of Clinton scandals, but I don’t want to get carpal tunnel syndrome. The Clinton brand name is synonymous with scandal.

The few politicians who have more than one scandal on their record specialize in a certain type of misdeed — be it financial or sexual in nature. Bill and Hillary commit every type of transgression; they are equal opportunity scandal mongers.

Allow me to digress by pointing out that I’m not a member of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy, I’m a diehard liberal and proud of it. I hate what the Clinton’s are doing to the good name of progressive politics.

You would think that Hillary Clinton would be the last person to accuse a political opponent of being involved in a scandal. But the former First Lady has no shame in her game, she will stoop to the gutter for political gain.

Hillary is insinuating that Sen. Barack Obama is corrupt because Tony Rezko, a former political donor, is under trial for corruption. Hillary, does the name Norman Hsu ring a bell?

Some are strongly urging Obama to fight fire with fire and bring up Vince Foster, Whitewater, Rose Law Firm and the scores of other scandals that the Clintons initiated.

Instead, I’m urging the voters not to let Hillary get away with her gutter brand of politics. I hope the electorate will say “No” to dirty politics by voting for Obama.
