After the Obama administration released Bush-era memos graphically detailing — and authorizing — such grim tactics as waterboarding detainees and keeping them naked and cold for long periods, Obama yesterday all but closed the door shut — and will not prosecute Bush administration officials who devised the policies that led to these harsh interrogation of suspected terrorists.
