Glenn Beck: “Nobel Peace Prize should be turned down by Barack Obama and given … to the Tea Party goers and the 9-12 Project.”

Rush Limbaugh: “Something has happened here that we all agree with the Taliban and Iran about and that is he doesn’t deserve the award.”

Bill Kristol suggested that Obama will be defeated in 2012, because Mikhail Gorbachev won a Nobel Peace Prize, and the Soviet Union collapsed a year later.

Some radio thug suggested that it was an “Affirmative Action” award.

“I think the Nobel Committee couldn’t vote in our election in 2008, so they decided to vote this year,” said Bush GOON John Bolton, who served as ambassador to the U.N. under Bush. “It’s high-minded Europeans talking down to hayseed Americans, saying this is the way you ought to be.”

French President Nicholas Sarkozy: “The award marks America’s return to the heart of the people of the world.” That deserves a prize. Thorbjorn Jagland, the chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, defended the decision. “The question we have to ask is who has done the most in the previous year to enhance peace in the world,” Jagland said. “Who has done more than Barack Obama?

MediaMatters: Reminiscent of the Friday Freakout that followed the glorious news that Chicago, and the United States, had been denied the honor of hosing the Summer Olympic Games (Hallelujah!), the same Obama-hating voices in the right-wing media are outraged that the President of the United States has won the Nobel Prize. In other words, Obama/America loses = good. Obama/America wins = bad. [ READ MORE ] [ READ MORE [2] ]

Limbaugh: “We all agree with the Taliban and Iran” that Obama does not deserve Nobel

In his latest rant Dick Morris fear-mongers: “Europe wants to reverse the American Revolution and re-colonize us and it sees in Obama a kindred spirit willing to do its bidding.” “……All this heavy lifting, this conversion of America into a European state, deserves a reward. And what is a more fitting one than to give Obama than the Nobel Peace Prize? He obviously doesn’t deserve the award for economics or, given his health care ideas, for medicine. But the Peace Prize expresses Europe’s longing: to take back the nation its overly ambitious and uppity children founded.”

Statement of The Democratic National Committee: The GOP sides with the terrorists.

“The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists — the Taliban and Hamas this morning — in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize,” wrote DNC Communications Director Brad Woodhouse.

“Republicans cheered when America failed to land the Olympics and now they are criticizing the President of the United States for receiving the Nobel Peace prize — an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride — unless of course you are the Republican Party.

The 2009 version of the Republican Party has no boundaries, has no shame and has proved that they will put politics above patriotism at every turn. It’s no wonder only 20 percent of Americans admit to being Republicans anymore – it’s an embarrassing label to claim.”

I’m surprised more Americans don’t find it offensive that Pete Sessions of Texas praised the Taliban, a terrorist organization our troops are fighting overseas for their “ability to disrupt a persons processes”. That’s all the Repukelicans seeks to do is disrupt Americas processes.

I say send the entire membership over to Afghanistan and let them see what it’s like to live under Taliban Rule. Most of them would probably be stoned to death for their nefarious behavior. They certainly would get more harsh punishment than what Foley and Craig got for their sexual peccadilloes in this country.
