Huffington Post: Fox News’ continues to “dominate” cable news ratings. The Nielsen ratings for the second quarter of 2010 were released Tuesday, and yet again, Fox News is way ahead of with the competition, claiming the top 10 programs in cable news. See the top 30 programs in cable news HERE.
Some Reactions:
Steelsil (Huffington Post) — Fox is number one because they have 100% of the crazy, right wing, wing-nut customers sewn up. The rest of the news stations in effect break up the vote of the sane, moderate, rational audience. The correct comparison is Faux ‘News’ versus accurate, rational news, which is every news organization but Faux. That kind of analysis shows you that about 45% prefer Faux ‘News’ and 55% prefer other channels, which reflects the last presidential election- in other words, Republicans watch Faux ‘News’ and Democrats and Independents watch other news channels. It is sad that 45% of the population prefers paranoid political propaganda to realism when it comes to watching news on television, but it reflects the electoral results in the United States. Remember, 1/2 of the population is below average in intelligence, and they are, for the most part, Republican voters.
Janinei (Huffington Post) — okay, so the population of the U.S. is what 300 million, so less that 1% watch Faux, wow, I am overwhelmed by their popularity , and with cable news in general!
AlaskanToo (Huffington Post) — It’s simple really. I could watch the news but I prefer to read. If I did I would watch MSNBC. These mouth breathers who watch Faux Noise don’t read! They either can’t or choose not to. They don’t call it the “the idiot box” for nothing.
CanUFeel2012 (Huffington Post)– If you check into the Direct TV and Dish Network offers, the lowest priced packages have Fox News and maybe CNN. If you want MSNBC, you have to go up to the more expensive package. put Fox on the most expensive package only and see how many people will pay that price. No wonder Fox has higher ratings than MSNBC…the comparison is between apples and oranges. Not an accurate comparison. ..
Mssisyphus (Huffington Post) heard something that explained to me WHY Faux News has higher ratings then MSNBC…Faux is included in basic cable and satellite packages, and MSNBC is not!!!
NOW I understand…I just thought most of the Country was nuts!!! Higher TV packages are not a priority to most people having a tough financial year, which is a boat-load of people!!

One can’t help but ask the question: Why do “more” people flock to a networks infested with SICK LIARS like Fox News?
When a channel abandons all journalistic ethics to become the mouthpiece of a political party, then it ceases to be news channel. The “News” after “Fox” just happens to be a smokescreen behind which the channel serves the Republican/Tea-Party cause(s) — to retain the “racist, canine” vote, located mostly in the south of the United States.
As someone put it elsewhere on the Internet, “there’s a few million of uneducated folks who need to be spoon fed racist propaganda in huge doses and FNC will do that for them.”
Vicious animals hunt in packs — like the Hyena, hence the perennial ratings records for Fox News. They have nowhere else to go for their daily dose of “RACIST NEWS.”
Fox supplies the blood-soaked red meat in huge doses, 24/7.
Fox is NOT News — It is a Racist, Biased, Extortionist Republican/Tea-Party Political Operation.
