An obtuse, narrow and biased hypothesis from an out of touch media

It’s fascinating to read theories, conclusions and assumptions that are all disconnected from the reality of America.

What I find fascinating is the polemics disbursed from authors from the hallowed halls of organizations such as Newsweek, Time, and local newspapers such as The Philadelphia Daily Inquirer don’t see the connection with the demise of their publications, or the loss in subscriptions and their out of touch perspective? Who is reading your stuff? Newsflash! It’s not mainstream America!!!

I cannot believe that you actually want to blame the Tea Party or Fox News for Americans being uncomfortable with the First Lady of the United States taking a vacation to a Five Star Resort in Spain when unemployment is at an all time high?

You’re saying that 52 million Americans that are out of work, have no job, no future, may lose their home, their home is in foreclosure, they can’t pay their kids tuition bills, buy their children school clothes, replace their broken down cars or fix their computers are all because the Tea Party who must be a bunch of wack jobs told them too and the people on Fox News influenced them into it?

The middle class is eroding. The issue isn’t about her taking time off–or the right to do so. I don’t think anyone has an issue with our First Lady going to any five star hotel in Spain.

It’s about two issues. Number one, imagine the small businesses that could have benefited if Michelle Obama would have visited anywhere here in the US?

Number two, timing. Every smart person knows that timing and appearances count. It’s called exercising good judgment.

Americans know better. It’s called moderation. I lead my children by example. I expect the leaders of this country to do the same.

And so far–I’m disappointed.
