Roger Ailes, the onetime Nixon operative has created the most profitable propaganda machine in history. Fox News’ Roger Ailes — has put the Republican Party on his payroll and forced it to remake itself around his image. Ailes is the Chairman, and the conservative movement now reports to him. Ironically, it is Ailes who has built the most formidable propaganda machine ever seen outside of the Communist bloc, pioneering a business model that effectively monetizes conservative politics through its relentless focus on the bottom line.

Ben Franklin saved the American Revolution by seducing French Women. A gay love affair between President James Buchanan and Senator William King aided the secession movement. Woodrow Wilson’s girlfriend dictated his letters to the German Kaiser. And lesbian relationships inspired Eleanor Roosevelt to become a revolutionary crusader for equal rights. The colorful sex lives of America’s most powerful leaders have influenced social movements, government policies, elections and even wars, yet they are so whitewashed by historians that people think Thomas Jefferson and Abe Lincoln were made of marble, not flesh and blood.

In an attempt to appear “Reaganesque” Sarah Palin sought an audience with former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. The former beauty queen and current reality star was kicked to the curb like yesterday’s garbage. America might be infatuated with Sarah Palin, but Margaret Thatcher doesn’t suffer fools gladly. The former governor of Alaska got exactly what she deserved, how dare she request a meeting with somebody of the stature of Thatcher.

Reenactment of Paul Revere’s Famous Ride: Stephen Colbert “proves” that Paul Revere could have ridden a horse while ringing a bell and firing multiple warning shots from a front-loading musket — as claimed by Sarah Palin. LOL!

The Republican vote rigging schemes come in many forms. The most common, requiring voters to show identification, has been proposed this year in more than 35 states; some such measures also require proof of citizenship. Other bills would restrict voting by college students or felons, limit voter registration or cut back early voting–all typically Democratic voting blocs.
