“Thanks for ruining our vacation.” — 9-Year-Old Piper Palin to a member of the press.

These words speak volumes about the innocence of Piper and the wickedness of Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin blatantly used her Down syndrome baby Trig as a prop during the 2008 presidential campaign. Fortunately, Trig will never realize that his biggest value to his mom is as a campaign prop.

But Piper will one day come to resent and despise her mother, for putting her ambitions ahead of the psychological health of her children.

Piper would be better of in a bus with Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters. She might accidentally consume some LSD, but she wouldn’t be treated like an object to be exploited.

Before Sarah Palin recruited Piper to come along with her on her magical mystery bus tour, she should have explained to her daughter that it wasn’t a real vacation.

Poor Piper is under the impression the press is ruining her vacation; little does she know that the object of the tour is to attract the attention of the media.

Sarah should have had a little talk with Piper:

Honey, this isn’t a real vacation. I’ll hire a nanny to take you to Disney World this summer. This is a make-believe vacation, the reporters and photographers can’t get enough of mommy, I’m giving them a chance to take my photograph and bask in my presence. This is all about me, be a good little girl and smile and wave at the press.

Family values, my a**. Piper would be better off with the Manson Family.

When John McCain selected Sarah Palin as his running mate, the then Governor of Alaska was an unknown and untested commodity.

McCain is in the fight of his political life as he seeks re-election to the Senate, and once again he turns to Palin. The Fox News celebrity joined McCain on the stage at a political rally in Tucson.

But this time Palin is the star on the rise, and McCain is an old hack desperately trying to retain his hold on power. The cable news outlets covered this campaign event, but they cut away for more important news when Palin concluded her introduction of McCain.

Palin isn’t a star because she proved her grit, intelligence, knowledge and wisdom during the 2008 presidential campaign. The failed presidential campaign revealed Palin as a bumbling, petty, know-nothing and intellectually-challenged diva.

Welcome to the politics of today where attractiveness trumps experience, and celeb-appeal is more important than accomplishments. McCain may be one of the most experienced and respected senators, but he isn’t Twitter savvy and he doesn’t have his own reality show. Not to mention that he has a mug that only a mother could love.

A long as Palin retains her attractiveness and celeb credentials she will be a force in the GOP for the next few years. The next president of the United States may care more about making the cover of People magazine, than being mentioned on the front page of the New York Times.

On the March 6 edition of his Fox News program, Sean Hannity falsely claimed that President Obama made a “campaign promise” to allow “no earmarks.” As purported evidence, Hannity aired several clips of Obama referring to earmarks, including a January 6 clip of Obama stating his desire to “ban all earmarks” from the economic recovery package, which Hannity, like Fox News colleague Bill O’Reilly, misrepresented to claim Obama was breaking his word by signing the omnibus appropriations bill.

After purporting to “go to the videotape” and “show the audience at home” Obama’s “campaign promise” of “no earmarks,” Hannity aired a number of clips from the 2008 presidential campaign in order to claim that Obama was breaking his promise of “no earmarks,” when, in fact, in three of the clips, Obama was referring to reforming the earmark process, and in a fourth, he was asserting that an opponent was being hypocritical for taking earmarks and then advocating against them. In the fifth clip, which was actually taken from a January 6 media availability — not during the presidential campaign as Hannity suggested — Obama stated: “We are gonna ban all earmarks — the process by which individual members insert pet projects without review.” However, Obama was referring to his desire to “ban all earmarks” from his “recovery and reinvestment plan,” which he specifically distinguished from “the overall budget process.” — [ MORE ]

The 2008 presidential campaign has bestowed quite a few dubious characters with their precious fifteen minutes of fame: Joe the Unlicensed Plumber, Tito the Builder, The old lady who called Obama an Arab, and of course Sarah Palin.

Now you can throw in Barack Obama’s aunt who is living illegally in the United States into the mix. This poor woman has been besieged by reporters since it came to light that she’s in this country illegally.

“Sen. Barack Obama didn’t know his aunt might be living illegally in the United States, as media outlets are reporting, and his campaign will return contributions she made, an aide said

Sen. Obama has no knowledge of her status but obviously believes that any and all appropriate laws [should] be followed,” campaign spokesman Bill Burton said.

According to The Associated Press, a court refused four years ago to accept the asylum application of Zeituni Onyango, 56, the half-sister of Obama’s Kenyan father. However, she has continued to live in a public housing complex in South Boston, AP reported.

Very interesting how this woman’s immigration status was discovered just four days before the general election. There is something very fishy about the timing of this story, did someone from the Dept. of Homeland Security or the Bush administration leak this story to the press? Enquiring minds want to know, I’m just a humble blogger but investigative journalists should get to the bottom of this story.

Fox News and conservative bloggers are all over this story like white on rice, but if they imagine they can sink Obama’s presidential aspirations with “Auntiegate” they are crazy. Obama is headed toward a win of landslide proportions, and even if it was discovered that Obama’s Aunt was married to the Antichrist it wouldn’t make any difference.
