Gun dealers say handgun sales are up and so are permits to carry concealed weapons. Some say it’s a trend that’s a reaction to the war in Iraq.
I say it the FEAR of an Obama presidency….a “black presidency!”.
To be precise, to some whites (typically Republican) the thought of a black man acquiring the most powerful job on earth and lording over them is totally unpalatable, and is causing uncontrollable rage and “pant-wetting.”
“Experts” claim that rural small town whites a.k.a. McCain’s “REAL Americans” fear that if Sen. Barack Obama wins the presidency, he will join with fellow Democrats in Congress to enact new gun control laws (Note:Obama has said that he believes in an individual right to bear arms but that he also supports “common-sense safety measures”).
Now, that’s an excuse…the real fear, is that if a black man ascends to the presidency, these low-information, McCain “fear-mongered” morons, are so paranoid, they actually do believe that Obama will allow blacks to “Enslave Them,” or in some really petty warped minds — Obama may replace the Star Spangled Banner with a rap version by 2Pac, and/or send white folks back to Europe by wooden boat.
Way back in April, Jon Stewart and Obama joked about it: Stewart asked: “Sir, we are concerned that ultimately at the end of the day, if you are fortunate enough to get the Democratic nomination, fortunate to become President of the United States, will you pull a bait-and-switch, sir, and enslave the white race? Is that your plan? And, if it is your plan, be honest. Tell us now.”
Believe it or not, there are many whites who think that an Obama presidency could be a license for blacks to retaliate for 400 years of slavery. Republicans, including McCain have exploited this fear over the years.
During this election season, McCain and Palin are busy stroking the bigoted juices of — The “REAL Americans,” knowing very well that they are afraid of blacks because of how “they” have treated blacks in the past, and are “terrified” of an Obama presidency, harboring the ridiculous fear that he (obama) might sanction and let loose years of black fury.
And, therein lies John McCain’s CORE STRATEGY — “Stroke The Nativist Racism.”
When John McCain calls Obama a “Socialist who wants to re-distribute wealth,” he is talking to the same idiots in CODE. Essentially, he is telling these RACISTS — Obama will take your hard earned wealth and give it to his fellow blacks!
That is enough to get their HOT RACIST JUICES flowing like the Mississippi river. [See Video Below]
When Democratic Rep. John Murtha said that some of his constituents in western Pennsylvania are “rednecks” and the entire region just five to 10 years ago was “really redneck,” and that the history of southwestern Pennsylvania is teeming with racism, the old man was speaking the TRUTH, and he has nothing to apologize for.
Fortunately, “FAKE Americans” of all colors will be voting in droves for Obama next week.
I am left to wonder whether the REAL Americans will start shooting blacks on November 4, when Obama is declared the winner over McCain.

With only a month to go before the general election, McCain finds himself behind in all the national polls, and most importantly trailing in all the battleground states. McCain feels he has no choice but to play the fear card, and so once again we are forced to endure the spectacle of GOP gutter politics.
Palin is playing the fear card, she is misrepresenting Obama as a radical with dubious personal associations.
It’s ironic that the McCain camp choose Palin to deliver the opening blow of their campaign of dirty tricks, when nobody inspires more fear than the governor of Alaska.
I tremble when I think of the awful prospect of McCain winning the general election, and then quickly dying. That would leave a woman who isn’t even qualified to be a White House clerical employee as leader of the free world.
The choice is quite clear, should we vote for Obama who represents and embodies hope and change, or should we go with a grouchy old man who resorts to playing the fear card?
Playing the fear card is bad enough, but the McCain card is also subliminally playing the race card. Racists see African Americans as different from other Americans, they are the “other” who think differently and act differently. Palin is arguing that “You and I” (read: Whites) see America one way and Obama sees America another way. Obama like most blacks, Palin is subliminally suggesting, is criminally-minded and likely to pal around with other scum like terrorists.
Reckless and desperate politicians rely on fear and racism to inspire citizens to vote for them, and statesmen trust in the goodness of the American people.
Vote for hope and change, and say no to fear and racism by voting for Obama the first Tuesday in November.
As the country rapidly diversifies, Republicans are presenting a convention that is almost entirely white. To a large extent, the Republican Party still is — The White-Bigot Party.
Only 36 of the 2,380 delegates seated on the convention floor are black. One week after Democrats nominated the nation’s first black presidential candidate on the eve of the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, Republicans have only one African American — Fox News’ resident Uncle Tom Michael S. Steele — scheduled to speak last night during prime time at their convention.

At the beginning of her speech I sensed some tension in her, but the “Killer From Wasilla” unwinded and got more comfortable as the speech progressed.
She spoke of her family, including her eldest son, who is about to be deployed to Iraq in the US Army, and her younger son, who has Down’s Syndrome.
In the speech, she assailed Obama, Biden and the “Liberal” media: “I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a “community organizer,” except that you have actual responsibilities. I might add that in small towns, we don’t quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren’t listening.” “We tend to prefer candidates who don’t talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco.”

The job of Juan Hernandez is to win support for John McCain, particularly Latino votes. So it may seem odd that the campaign doesn’t want its national director of Hispanic outreach to get any press.

When a reporter suggested talking to Hernandez at a convention of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, where Hernandez was slated to appear June 28, his name was suddenly removed from the list of scheduled speakers.
A NALEO spokesman, Eric Wagner, says someone from the McCain campaign called and asked to replace him, but didn’t offer an explanation. (A McCain aide, who refused to be quoted discussing internal campaign strategy, later told NEWSWEEK that the campaign had never signed off on Hernandez as a speaker.)
