“Sarah Palin, a former Alaska Gov. and reality TV star, turned down an invitation today to the New Hampshire primary debate on June 13.

Palin’s excuse for turning down an invitation to join the June 13th debate is bogus. It’s not too soon; in fact it’s almost too late for any serious candidate to join the presidential field.

This is yet another piece of evidence that Palin has no intentions of running for president. The former beauty queen is having too much fun “writing” books, starring in reality shows, mentoring Bristol on how to cash in on her fame, and teasing the media.

Palin would only join a debate if it were conducted like “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.” The former beauty queen would feel comfortable only if she could call a friend or an expert, or asked the audience for guidance before answering a question.

The June 13th debate is going to be a dull affair without Palin, don’t expect any fireworks from the likes of Mitt Romney or Tim Pawlenty.

Sarah Palin was the headline speaker at the recent Tea Party Convention, but I won’t risk a migraine by attempting to analyze her drivel. Ya know, what I’m talking about?

Tom Tancredo, the former congressman from Colorado, also spoke at the teabagger convention, and his speech is a fair representation of the mindset of the teabaggers.

Let’s examine a paragraph from that speech in which Tancredo questions the very legitimacy of the 2008 election results:

“People who could not spell the word ‘vote‘ or say it in English put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House – (his) name is Barack Hussein Obama. The revolution has come. It was led by the cult of multiculturalism aided by leftist liberals all over who don’t have the same ideas about America as we do.”

The 2008 election wasn’t a replay of the controversial 2000 campaign, Obama won a clear and decisive victory. At this juncture the only ones who question the legitimacy of Obama’s mandate are racists who can’t accept a black man in the Oval Office. A constant refrain at teabagger events is the illegitimacy of the Obama presidency.

Tancredo is unable to make a speech without taking a swipe at Hispanics in general and undocumented workers is particular. The failed presidential candidate claims that people who can’t even say “vote” in English helped put Obama in the White House. This anti-Hispanic sentiment is rampant at teabagger shindigs, no wonder you won’t find any Latinos at teabagger meetings.

Tancredo like most teabaggers has a European-centric perspective, thus his dig at multiculturism and his mention of Obama’s middle name. Everything European is good, Everything Mexican, Arabian, Chinese, and African is bad — according to the teabaggers. America is a pluralistic society, made up of immigrants not only from Europe, but from everywhere in the world.

Whites will soon be a minority in America, and America will soon be surpassed by China and India in the realms of economics, science and military might.

Sarah Palin, Tancredo and the teabaggers are Neanderthals on the losing side of history, they will soon be overwhelmed by demographics.

Last Thursday, the rabidly anti-immigrant and racist Tom Tancredo, a former Colorado Congressman, delivered the opening remarks at the national “Tea Party” convention. Like a deranged, gun-totting border-patrolling Minuteman, Tancredo declared: “…..First, we should have a ‘civics literacy test‘ before people are allowed to vote. Second, ‘People who could not even spell the word vote or say it in English put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House whose name is Barack Hussein Obama.’”

Notes: A literacy test, in the context of United States political history, refers to the government practice of testing the literacy of potential citizens at the federal level, and potential voters at the state level. The federal government first employed literacy tests as part of the immigration process in 1917. Southern state legislatures employed literacy tests as part of the voter registration process as early as the late nineteenth century.

As used by the states, the literacy test gained infamy as a means for denying suffrage to African-Americans. Adopted by a number of southern states, the literacy test was applied in a patently unfair manner, as it was used to disfranchise many literate blacks while allowing many illiterate whites to vote.

The literacy test, combined with other discriminatory requirements, effectively disfranchised the vast majority of African-Americans in the South from the 1890s until the 1960s. Southern states abandoned the literacy test only when forced to do so by federal legislation in the 1960s.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 provided that literacy tests used as a qualification for voting in federal elections be administered wholly in writing and only to persons who had not completed six years of formal education.

The Voting Rights Act of 1965 suspended the use of literacy tests in all states or political subdivisions in which less than 50 percent of voting-age residents were registered as of 1 November 1964 or had voted in the 1964 presidential election.

In a series of cases, the Supreme Court of the United States upheld the legislation and restricted the use of literacy tests for non-English-speaking citizens. Since the passage of this legislation, black registration in the South has increased dramatically.

Did Obama write the song and make the teacher force the kids to sing it! NO.

Christopher M. Manno, the superintendent of Burlington Township School District, NJ, issued a statement stating that the students were singing the song “to honor the contributions of African Americans to our country” in conjunction with February’s Black History Month. The video was shot in February 2009. “There was no intention to indoctrinate children,” District Superintendent Christopher Manno said in a released statement. “There was no political agenda underlying the activity.”

So, what are Republicans frothing about?

What pisses me off even more is that the right-wing attack is being led by a BLACK MAN, Michael Steele, The RNC Chairman — a House-Negro aligned with bigot America to bring down a fellow black man. “Impressionable youngsters at a public school in New Jersey, most of whom are no more than 6 or 7 years old, have been instructed to sing the praises of ‘Barack Hussein Obama,’” said Uncle Steele.

To the right-wing MAGGOTS — It is shock video!

The right is ruthless. They lie. They steal. They race-bait. Now they are exploiting children.

The enthusiasm young people feel for Obama is genuine. Obama is a role model to black kids, many of them fatherless due to a “five hundred year old” system which is partially to blame for the current hopelessness of the black family. The late Daniel P. Moynihan boldly stated in 1965: “…the black family, marked by female-headed households, high illegitimacy and absent fathers, had been destroyed by slavery and left trapped in “a tangle of pathology” that impeded real progress for black Americans.” In 1965 Martin Luther King Jr. declared: “The shattering blows on the Negro family have made it fragile, deprived and often psychopathic.” Both statements are debatable, but one fact is clear – despite progress made over the years, black males, to a large extent are still heavily demoralized for many reasons including slavery (which is still being practiced “incognito” — disproportionate incarceration, etc.), …and when children are encouraged to be proud of one (Obama) who has “miraculously” slipped into the White House — Republican bigots jump on the children.

It’s all because of FEAR — Fear that years of unfettered privilege is slipping away. Translate that to: years of Racism that kept blacks at bay is being destroyed — too fast for their liking, in fact some have openly proclaimed that they want an America like that of their racist fore-fathers !

During the elections Obama inspired many, including very young children. He essentially became a role model for millions of fatherless and destitute black and ….many white children, whose parents rightly recognize that change is inevitable for a better America.

This is just another “Tea-Bagging” hullabaloo — sick dogs snarling and biting at anything Obama, in the hope that it brings him down.
