Do you love it when presidents and politicians and military leaders resort to vague meaningless, indefinable terminology to promote wars they believe in? Two words stand out. Win, and turn around.

We are going to win in Afghanistan the president says, even though a troop reduction is supposedly scheduled in two years. The military will likely talk him out of it, and we will be in Afghanistan for 30 years.

When Obama says we are going to WIN, what does he mean? He never elaborates. Just like former presidents never did. Obama says he is for change, but apparently not that much change. What does WIN mean? What conditions have to be present for us to WIN?

One possibility would be that every member of the Taliban comes out of hiding and marches in a single file line to Kabul to a jail and before entering, lays down their obsolete weapons. I do not think that is going to happen. Do you?

Another possibility is that the Taliban sign a surrender document just like the old way of wars, assuming there is a leader of the Taliban all the Taliban could agree would be authorized to sign such a document. The Taliban would then cease to exist and they would become either prisoners of or welfare recipients of American overlordship and or patronage.

I do not think that is going to happen. Do you?

Another scenario would have the US occupy ground with the understanding that even 300,000 troops can not occupy all of Afghanistan, as there are millions of occupants of Kabul alone. The Taliban would occupy those rural remote areas we do not.

We could claim we have WON, but that would be a hollow proclamation.

Another possibility would be a Waterloo style military victory in which a majority of the Taliban are annihilated out in the open in a set piece battle in which the Taliban allow us to use our overwhelming firepower to overwhelm them.

I do not think that is going to happen. Do you?

Then the question is, HOW CAN WE WIN? The president does not know, and if he was honest in this case he would admit it. The American people do not demand to be told how we can win. What is WIN? We will never know.

We have discovered huge mineral deposits in Afghanistan that we are now greedily eyeing. If we win the war and exploit these natural resources, I suppose it would be a case of WIN WIN.

Instead, we have this silly foolish game where the silly former general made fun of Obama and Biden in an interview in of all things a rock and roll magazine (an appropriate place), and was replaced by General Betrayus, the man whom the media said TURNED AROUND the war in Iraq.

This is based on the thinking that since he did it in Iraq, he can do it again in Afghanistan. One size fits all, even though they are completely different countries. Turn things around. What does TURN AROUND mean? It is like the word WIN. We do not know.

The main thing for Obama is to preserve the allusion of solidarity over the war. That we are all in agreement.

I think TURN THINGS AROUND means loosely, that even though we have not won in Iraq, things are not as bad as they once were. Using common sense, which is an oxymoron when it comes to matters of war, you can not have WON, not decisively, if the best you could do is to make things not as bad as they were before, or in other words, TURN THINGS AROUND.
What if General Grant had only managed to TURN THINGS AROUND in the Civil War? The Confederacy would still exist.

Until the American people stand up and demand that our leaders and the military junta running this country explain what they mean by these vague smokescreen terms, there will never be a true accounting.

What else would one expect from a delusional Republican moron who belongs to a church in which the parishioners “speak in tongues,” believe that the earth is flat, promote “pray days” for gays — to convert them to heterosexuality, among many other ridiculous GODLY things….[ more ]

It’s Bush thinking once again: “God Speaks Through Me,” said Bush on July 9, 2004 — the man who commands the greatest stockpile of nuclear missiles and other weapons of mass destruction ever created, believes that he is a prophet chosen by God to represent all that is good and right in the Universe…..Sarah Palin thinks in the same fashion!

Bush has clearly demonstrated over the last eight years that he is a greedy, reckless idiot of a leader and America must reject anybody else with the same level of irrational stupidity…..Sarah Palin.

Here are Saint Sarah’s blatant lies so far — which she shamelessly continues to trumpet on the campaign trail:

1. Bridge To Nowhere — Palin backed “Bridge To Nowhere” in 2006. She didn’t say “no thanks” to the PORK, until after Congress had already abandoned it but given Alaska a blank check for $223 million in taxpayers’ money anyway. Saint Sarah is lying when she says: “I championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress” and opposed federal funding for the controversial bridge to a sparsely populated island. “I told Congress, “Thanks, but no thanks,” on that bridge to nowhere.” “‘If our state wanted a bridge,’ I said, ‘we’d build it ourselves.’” …[ more ]

2. Sold Executive Jet on Ebay — “While I was at it, I got rid of a few things in the governor’s office that I didn’t believe our citizens should have to pay for. That luxury jet was over the top. I put it on eBay.”

Old man McCain compounded the distortion: “You know what i enjoyed the most? She took the luxury jet that was acquired by her predecessor and sold it on eBay – made a profit.”

While it is partly true that jet was listed on eBay, it didn’t sell and was later sold at a loss. When no offers came in, Palin hired a jet broker – Turbo North Aviation in Anchorage – which sold the jet for $2.1 million to an Alaska businessman. The former governor bought it for $2.7 million.

3. Fired The Chef — Palin didn’t fire the chef, instead transferred her to the Republican state legislature to cook gourmet meals in their legislative lounge. ANOTHER SUGAR-COATED LIE — Designed to portray her as a reform (CHANGE) minded candidate.

This woman has a problem with the truth …..in the mode of Bush and Cheney.

I wish Obama would hit much harder. McCain and his female moose are on the trail lying their asses off. These two — Palin and McCain are typical ‘Take no prisoner THUG‘ Republicans.

The Obama-Biden message is too soft — John McCain and Sarah Palin ARE NOT NICE PEOPLE. They are TOUGH LYING POLITICAL SNAKES, who must be beaten in the head to submission.

Apparently the Democrats have not learned their lesson over the years.

Slightly more than half of the American electorate is “functionally illiterate,” — they don’t read regularly, they don’t analyze and depend mostly on partisan TV to make crucial political judgments. This is worsened by the fact that an estimated 40 million people in the U.S. cannot read a simple sentence, a factor brought about by among many other things – undiagnosed learning disorders, poverty, unstable homes, bad schools and teachers — despite the immense wealth in this country.

Factor in racism and you have fertile “moose-hunting” grounds for Palin and McCain.

An illiterate person will always favor the candidate who connects in a simple “no-frills” manner, rather than a nuanced professorial approach — typical of Obama. After all very few accomplished anything in school, anyway. They tend to have blind and foolish faith, which is downright dangerous, especially in this volatile world of today.

The result: Even an unqualified and intellectually deranged goon like Bush gets elected ….TWICE!

When you elect Nixon (a foul mouthed racist crook), Reagan (a pro-apartheid serial liar with a heart of darkness), Bush Sr. (godfather of a thieving cabal) and Bush Jr. (an un-schooled illiterate and a cabal puppet) for president, in succession — you must be an idiot too. | More on Reagan |

Republicans are specialists when it comes to exploiting the “Low-Information” voter, and they will lie, cajole, mis-represent, fabricate and scratch like hungry hyena’s trying to chew into a chain link fence, to get their malicious message across, tactics the Democrats have never perfected and are afraid to use.

I say fight fire with fire!

Obama and Biden should know that an ill-informed person is far more receptive to fear-mongering, and therefore they must counter — not with more fear-mongering, but by calling McCain and Palin for what they are: LIARS — in as raw a manner as possible.

The Obama team must relentlessly hammer home — that electing McCain is a third Bush term. They must lay prime emphasis on bread-and-butter economic issues, and their three debate performances must be phenomenal.

The excitement surrounding Sarah Palin will eventually fizzle out — as she stumbles through issues, and as her vetting becomes even more intense, but still the Obama campaign cannot afford to be nice to these two poisonous snakes!

They better take the fight to these two LYING THUG GOONS, with a vengeance, before it is too late.

I am getting sick and tired of this shrill, sarcastic “female moose.” John McCain has packaged a big barrel of compost and strapped it around her neck, and she is machine-gunning the manure packed with deliberate deceit and distortions at the Obama campaign.

Wasilla, Sarah’s hometown was once the starting line for the Iditarod, a grueling dogsled race across 1150 miles of hazardous terrain. And as evidenced by the audience reaction at the Republican convention last Wednesday night, Sarah Palin is comfortable leading vicious packs of howling animals.

McCain’s “Killer Moose” has been rampaging across America disparaging Obama as a lowly “Community Organizer,” totally oblivious of these facts:

• Obama has been a U.S. Senator (2005-present) — 3 Years

• Obama was an Illinois State Senator (1997-2004) — 7 Years

• Obama is a senior lecturer, University of Chicago Law School (1996-present) — 10+ Years

• Obama was a practicing CIVIL RIGHTS attorney (1993-96) — 3 Years

• Director, Developing Communities Project (1985-1988)(Community Organizer) — 3 Years

Even more important is the fact that Obama slayed the most potent political machine in the country — the Clintons, not by luck, but fair and square, and by the rules in place, with zero support from the Democratic establishment — a display of competence and superior organizational skills. Obama’s excellent grass roots experience as a “community organizer” enabled him to build the most awesome ground operation in the history of U.S. politics.

Pundits like to parrot incessantly how Hillary Clinton won 18 million votes — conveniently forgetting that Barack obama received 18 million primary votes too, and won more states.

Barack pulled it off because he ran a thoroughly professional campaign, surrounded himself with top of the line surrogates and displayed superior motivational and leadership skills.

On the other hand, Sarah Palin was picked from the wilderness of Alaska by a desperate McCain, and we have no clue as to how she could perform as vice-president — other than what she reads on behalf of McCain’s THUGS at town-hall and open-air meetings, and that she won a beauty contest. A female blog poster I bumped into sums it up this way: Sarah Palin is a joke, a token, and an insult — “Look! Here’s a VP with a labia!” Fuck. That. We women are smarter than that. LOL!

Obama’s campaign responded: “The speech that Governor Palin gave was well delivered, but it was written by George Bush’s speech writer and sounds exactly like the same divisive, partisan attacks we’ve heard from George Bush for the last eight years. If Governor Palin and John McCain want to define “change” as voting with George Bush 90% of the time, that’s their choice, but we don’t think the American people are ready to take a 10% chance on change.”

Vice presidential nominee Joe Biden had this to say:

We know nothing about this woman. Absolutely nothing, yet pollsters are quick to cook-up stats claiming that she is ready, on the basis of a malicious speech written for McCain by George Bush’s cabal — afraid of the consequences of losing power.

Remember what Biden said recently: “We will not be stopped from pursuing any criminal offence that’s occurred.” Members of Congress are “doing the right thing, they’re not making false accusations about anything … they’re collecting data, subpoenaing records, they’re building a file”, Biden said. “If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued — not out of vengeance, not out of retribution, out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president — no one is above the law.” …[ more ]

That’s enough to send the “shivers and quivers” up the spines of the Bush and Cheney criminal enterprise — a ruthless gang of looters who have seized every aspect of “America’s treasures” – political, cultural, financial, constitutional, militarial……you name it.

In the last eight years they have looted America mercilessly, and the sad thing is that roughly half of the electorate has no clue about what is going on. Their political education is limited to guns, abortion and kicking the asses of Muslims and immigrants all over the world. The fact that Bush has perverted, distorted and tarnished America’s image beyond repair — does not even feature fleetingly in their thinking. To them, GOD is on America’s side because George Bush “speaks directly to him.”

They hear a speech by Sarah Palin and McCain (both puppets of this cabal) — and they go: “WOoOo AHH!,” …she is ready!

Nope! It’s a rip-off!

Last Thursday when McCain trumpeted: “A Change is Gonna Come,” and vowed to put the country “back on the road to prosperity and peace,” ..he was lying through the “skin of his teeth,” and he knows it!

Bob Herbert of the New York Times knows that too: “It stretches the mind almost to the breaking point to think of John McCain as an agent of substantive change. He once believed that Phil Gramm was the most qualified person in the United States to be president. And he now believes that Sarah Palin is the most qualified to be vice president.” “From the speakers’ faux populist gibberish, you would never have known that the Republicans have used their titanic power to lead the country to its present sorry state.” ….[ more here ]

One of the most devastating crimes that the “High Cabal” committed was the coup d’etat in the year 2000, with Florida state officials and the Supreme Court conspiring to foist an unelected George Bush on the American people.

Hail To The Thief!

Bush has done everything in his power to see that his corporate backers receive any and all assistance his administration can provide:

• Tax breaks for the obscenely wealthy

• Failure of governmental oversight for any and all regulations

• Non-prosecution for corporate crimes

These crimes must be prosecuted and stopped by the Obama team, if and when they assume the presidency — a task that seems to be getting more difficult, especially now that McCain has ditched his “Maverick” stance, and is officially the puppet of the “High Cabal,” complete with a “compost throwing” side-kick — Sarah Palin, the “Insult Moose.”
