On August 17, 2006, I wrote an article titled: “Macaca and Terror Politics – America is headed the wrong way!” — in which I chastised George Allen, the former Senator for Virginia, a Republican Presidential hopeful at that time, for calling a student of Indian descent a “Monkey” in coded racist language.

Allen said: “Let’s give a welcome to Macaca, here. Welcome to America and the real world of Virginia………”

It has been reported widely that Northern Virginia Republicans, realizing they need to improve their appeal among the region’s large ethnic population, will stage a “unity” rally next Saturday — to attract ethnic minorities who “represent an increasingly powerful voting bloc.”

Organizers said the annual rally, which has grown in recent years, is particularly significant this year because ethnic minorities represent an increasingly powerful voting bloc that will help decide which presidential candidate, Sen. Barack Obama or Sen. John McCain, wins the state Nov. 4.

George Allen among others is expected to spearhead this GOP “minority reach” event.

This is the same man who has in the past:

1.   Led the charge against a holiday for Martin Luther King – a prince of racial peace.

2.   Is a key figure in fueling the rampant anti-immigrant mood in the country today – kick them ALL out (legal & illegal), they are contaminating our culture, taking our jobs, raping our women and introducing new diseases to our beloved motherland.

3.   Had been dogged by numerous allegations of racial insensitivity for years as governor – his record as Governor of the state of Virginia (1994-1998) reeks of racially intolerant acts, including cavorting with white supremacist groups — such as the Council of Conservative Citizens.

4.   Allen has bragged about stuffing a severed deer head into an African American family’s mailbox.

5.   Has a past that includes a vociferous admiration of the Confederate flag (a symbol of racism) and an office that once displayed a noose.

Hey Allen — You are just another filthy bigot — stay in your “RAT HOLE.”

A word of caution to the GOP bigots — If Barack Obama wins this November 4th — it will mark the beginning of a long “layoff in purgatory” for the Republican Party.

An Obama win will signal the beginning of the minority/”young white” vote upswing — as they come of age in large numbers — most of who are less inclined to react favorably to Nativist/Racist Republican fear-mongering and hysteria, as do older white folk.

As these two groups and especially Hispanics grow over the coming years, and as the older “Republican Bigots” die off, America’s population will move toward a “minority majority,” and its political complexion will become more Democratic.

The GOP will have to re-invent itself, for simply appealing to the “bigot vote” will not be enough.

SPLC Report: An ‘American Legion’ booklet, full of anti-immigrant falsehoods

America’s largest veterans organization has launched another campaign — a hard-line attack on undocumented immigrants that’s at odds with the legion’s mainstream image. As part of this effort, the legion, which purports to speak for 2.7 million members, recently issued a booklet that regurgitates discredited and often completely false information about how “illegals” are bringing crime, disease, and terrorism to this country, even as they wreck the economy for natives.

The legion’s 34-page booklet, A Strategy to Address Illegal Immigration in the United States, asserts that “poverty, political instability, disease and war” are “on our back doorstep” because of porous borders and the failure of the government to stringently enforce immigration laws. But in making its case, the legion repeatedly cites dubious sources, ignores well-known facts and makes baseless claims — such as the false assertion that the undocumented infected more than 7,000 people in America with leprosy during a recent four-year period…..[ more ]

NOTES: CNN’s Resident “Anti-Immigrant Nativist,” anchor Lou Dobbs, repeated and popularized false claims about immigrants and leprosy. When confronted by “60 Minutes” and numerous critics, Dobbs refused to correct his statements, saying his program did not make errors.

As the country rapidly diversifies, Republicans are presenting a convention that is almost entirely white. To a large extent, the Republican Party still is — The White-Bigot Party.

As McCain’s 96 year old mother gazed listlessly into the rafters of the convention hall and with ReTHUGlicans and a sprinkling of ReTHUGliTOMS salivating like hungry, poisonous black mambas,…. and howling like a pack of hyenas, Sarah ‘Barracuda‘ Palin delivered a heavily choreographed speech, designed to rally the THUG/BIGOT base of the Republican party.

The speech was delivered right after MAFIA GOON — the former mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani had finished mocking, insulting and mis-representing Obama’s positions…. and topping it up with a dose of 9/11 fear-mongering.

At the beginning of her speech I sensed some tension in her, but the “Killer From Wasilla” unwinded and got more comfortable as the speech progressed.

She spoke of her family, including her eldest son, who is about to be deployed to Iraq in the US Army, and her younger son, who has Down’s Syndrome.

In the speech, she assailed Obama, Biden and the “Liberal” media: “I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a “community organizer,” except that you have actual responsibilities. I might add that in small towns, we don’t quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren’t listening.” “We tend to prefer candidates who don’t talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco.”

Read…..working people — how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns ……is a direct appeal to the White BIGOT VOTE.

The Barracuda (reading a speech prepared by McCain’s THUGS) went on to mis-represent and mock Obama’s record, lying about her own at the same time, and smothering everything with heavy doses of recycled Republican Fear-Mongering.

“And there is much to like and admire about our opponent.” But listening to him speak, it’s easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform – not even in the state senate.”

   This could be America’s next Vice-President

This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word “victory” except when he’s talking about his own campaign.”

“But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed … when the roar of the crowd fades away … when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot – what exactly is our opponent’s plan?”

“What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he’s done turning back the waters and healing the planet?” The answer is to make government bigger … take more of your money … give you more orders from Washington … and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world.”

“America needs more energy … our opponent is against producing it….,” said Sarah.

Towards the end of the speech, when she got more comfortable, “Dame Sarah” changed gears, dishing out “time-tested” Republican insults: “Taxes are too high!” . . . “Obama will raise your taxes!” . . . “Tax increases!” . . . “He will raise income taxes!” … “He will raise payroll taxes!” … “He will raise investment income taxes!” … “He will raise the death tax!” . . . “He will raise business taxes!” . . . ["Big Government!"] . . . ["Obama will KILL YOU!"] . . . ["Obama is a MUSLIM"] . . . ["Obama is a Kenyan Communist!"] . . . ["The Terrorists are here .. in this hall!"] . . . ["I'll create more jobs!"] . . . ["I'll cut the deficit!"] . . . ["I'll start the war!"] . . . ["I'll keep those Negroes in their place!"]……LOL!, pure PoliTRICKS!
