[ Notes From BuzzFlash - 01/29/2009 ] — Naked Republican Goons 33 1/3: The Final Insult — “I really didn’t want to write about the charmless debauchery of House Republicans again so soon, but when acute legislative events mix with the GOP’s chronic yahooism, what’s a helpless commentator to do?” — P.M. Carpenter, BuzzFlash
Mark Silva, SwampPolitics.com: With a shrinking base of Americans who identify themselves as Republicans, the stakes for leadership of the rebooted Republican Party grow higher each day.
Radio’s Rush Limbaugh, whom the Democrats, and particularly the Obama White House, want to anoint as the spokesman for the GOP, has taken pointed aim at another Republican whom some Republicans are calling no Republican at all: Retired Gen. Colin Powell, who endorsed Obama for election last year and says, quite plainly that “the Republican Party is in deep trouble.” — [ READ MORE ]

As members of the Republican Party continue to point fingers at each other and try to figure out their future, how long will it be before they find some sort of stability?
The phrase “Circular Firing Squad” aptly sums up the current state of the Republican Party. While Cockamamie Newt Gingrich was busy attacking the RNC, Senator Alan Specter left the G.O.P for the Democrats. Also, members of the RNC have been undermining their new chairman — Black ReTHUGliTOM Michael Steele, while he (Steele) has been attacking Specter for leaving the ReTHUGlican Party. Meanwhile Senate minority leader, Boehner has been starring in a web AD — a backward FEAR-MONGERING video — in spite of their stated desire to move forward with NEW IDEAS.
The party of “Tax Cuts, Tea-Bagging and REAL Americans” is in deep trouble — see VIDEOS below.
Not only has the G.O.P spent years trying to fool everybody in sight with its phony-baloney, dime-store philosophies, it’s now trapped in the patently pathetic phase of fooling itself.
