“ABC News’ Imtiyaz Delawala Reports: Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin invoked fear for the first time when discussing Sen. Barack Obama’s connection to former 60’s radical William Ayers.
‘I am just so fearful that this is not a man who sees America the way that you and I see America — as the greatest source for good in this world,’ Palin said of Obama to 2,000 supporters at a rally in Clearwater, Florida this morning. “I’m afraid this someone who sees America as imperfect enough to work with a former domestic terrorist who had targeted his own country.’
With only a month to go before the general election, McCain finds himself behind in all the national polls, and most importantly trailing in all the battleground states. McCain feels he has no choice but to play the fear card, and so once again we are forced to endure the spectacle of GOP gutter politics.
Palin is playing the fear card, she is misrepresenting Obama as a radical with dubious personal associations.
It’s ironic that the McCain camp choose Palin to deliver the opening blow of their campaign of dirty tricks, when nobody inspires more fear than the governor of Alaska.
I tremble when I think of the awful prospect of McCain winning the general election, and then quickly dying. That would leave a woman who isn’t even qualified to be a White House clerical employee as leader of the free world.
The choice is quite clear, should we vote for Obama who represents and embodies hope and change, or should we go with a grouchy old man who resorts to playing the fear card?
Playing the fear card is bad enough, but the McCain card is also subliminally playing the race card. Racists see African Americans as different from other Americans, they are the “other” who think differently and act differently. Palin is arguing that “You and I” (read: Whites) see America one way and Obama sees America another way. Obama like most blacks, Palin is subliminally suggesting, is criminally-minded and likely to pal around with other scum like terrorists.
Reckless and desperate politicians rely on fear and racism to inspire citizens to vote for them, and statesmen trust in the goodness of the American people.
Vote for hope and change, and say no to fear and racism by voting for Obama the first Tuesday in November.
All I know for sure is that this guy is no liberal goo-goo. Republicans keep calling him naïve. But naïve is the last word I’d use to describe Barack Obama. He’s the most effectively political creature we’ve seen in decades. Even Bill Clinton wasn’t smart enough to succeed in politics by pretending to renounce politics.
This guy is the whole Chicago package: an idealistic, lakefront liberal fronting a sharp-elbowed machine operator. He’s the only politician of our lifetime who is underestimated because he’s too intelligent. With hundreds of White Women screaming murder, the Democratic Party Rules Committee today dealt a severe blow to Hillary “Napoleon” Clinton.
Hillary wanted the whole nine yards of Michigan and another nine of Florida, irrespective of the DNC rules that were set up very clearly and agreed upon by both campaigns before the beginning of the primaries.
In other words, she wants to steal this nomination by hook or crook — including inciting White Women by invoking baseless charges of “Sexism” by the Obama campaign, and by race-baiting.
It has not and will not work Ma. Clinton!
The rulings (by vote) by the DNC today prompted Hillary’s chief delegate Harold Ickes to angrily state: “There’s been a lot of talk about party unity–let’s all come together, and put our arms around each other,” said Ickes, who is also a member of the Rules Committee that approved the deal. “I submit to you ladies and gentlemen, hijacking four delegates … is not a good way to start down the path of party unity,” adding that Clinton had instructed him to reserve her right to appeal the matter to the Democrats’ credentials committee, at the party’s convention in August.
Obama picked up a total of 32 delegates in Michigan, including super delegates who have already committed, and 36 in Florida, for a total of 2,052. Hillary Clinton correspondingly picked up 38 in Michigan and 56.5 in Florida, for a total of 1,877.5.
To Hillary I say:
It’s Over ……PERIOD!!
The party of Clinton is now Obama’s party, whether you like it or not!
You and Bill are nothing but crooks who think that the presidency of The United States is an entitlement, and even a thoroughbred black man like Obama has no business grabbing “what belongs to you.” [see Michael Pfleger video below]

Meanwhile, Sen. Barack Obama has quit his controversial congregation, Trinity United Church of Christ, in Chicago, campaign spokesman Bill Burton said Saturday.
Inflammatory sermons by the church’s longtime pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., forced Obama to initially defend – then denounce – his former spiritual mentor.
Then this week, Obama had to distance himself from another minister preaching at Trinity, the Rev. Michael Pfleger, who last Sunday made comments that seemed to accuse Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) of acting “entitled” because she is white…[MORE]
Despite being hopelessly behind in pledged delegates, and with practically no chance of winning this contest legally, Mrs. Clinton is still running around, drunk with “Voodoo” delegate permutations, claiming that she has won the Democratic primary.
It has also been reported that she has sent “uncommitted super delegates” a letter with polling data showing how and why she could be more competitive than Obama against John “McBOMB” McCain in the fall. In the letter she points to her wins in states like Ohio and West Virginia along with her strong showings among older women, Hispanics, rural voters and die hard “Reagan Bigots.”
She is also adamant that ALL the delegates from Michigan and Florida be seated at the August Democratic convention — falsely claiming that she “WON” the two contests, regardless of the FACT that both states (together with Clinton and Obama) agreed to a set rules before the beginning of the contest, and then went ahead and broke them. Furthermore, Florida and Michigan had ample time to fix what they messed up, but failed to do so.
A desperate Clinton, who has already inflicted so much damage, is still intent on shifting goal posts like a drunk ice hockey player, using baseless threats, lies, convoluted math and inflammatory allegations of Sexism, causing further damage to a fractured party.
Meanwhile, I have never heard Obama whine about the “Blatant Racism” and the “Death Wish” the Clintons have unleashed on him during this process — the race-baiting by Bill Clinton in South Carolina and by Hillary’s “hard-working whites” of West Virginia and Kentucky.
