1. The attack against Iraq was planned long before 9/11 - the Bush family had some unfinished business with Saddam Hussein.

2. Colin Powell then lied through his teeth at the UN building in New York, presenting what he claimed as magnificent intelligence work, complete with reports, satellite photographs and mock-ups with arrows and labels, such as “mobile laboratory“, which he later claimed were being “driven around the desert in vehicles“. Later they claimed that the intelligence was faulty. They have never admitted these lies, for fear of prosecution.

4. There are not, and never were, Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq.

5. The heroic liberators of Iraq were supposed to be welcomed by a grateful population. Great care was taken to photograph what were supposed to be cheering throngs. What we saw were a few dozen bemused and shocked citizens watching on as US troops committed acts of vandalism and wanton destruction, to add to the purposeful targeting of civilian infrastructures which have not recovered today.

6. Bush decided to utterly and totally destroy Iraq to pave the way for reconstruction contracts to be doled out to the clique of the corporate elite which dictate the White House’s policy (not the voters), some of these without tender. Paul Bremer SOLD Iraq and its people to foreign institutions controlled by Bush and his cronies.

7. Long after the US troops pull out (or retreat), the Project Management Office and the US Embassy in Baghdad will continue to control the reconstruction process and funding. Neither will all the troops leave, since there are plans to station over 100, 000 in the country for several years at the 14 permanent military bases being set up around the country, advance bases for strikes against other countries as Washington goes for the throat of the world’s richest region in mineral resources.

8. George Bush’s freedom and democracy is translated into horrific statistics about human casualties, the people he said God had told him to save. The “great care” taken by Washington to reduce civilian casualties included the dropping of brightly-colored, shiny cluster bombs into civilian areas for children to mistake as sweets, only for the explosive fragments to blow up, blowing away their faces, their hands, their legs, their eyes or even their lives. UNICEF estimates that at least 1 million children were mutilated for life in this way.

9. Independent estimates point towards a civilian death rate of between 135,000 and 1,000,000 and a further hundreds of thousands wounded, including women and children, the elderly and babies, blasted through their roofs by George Bush’s freedom and democracy and by the great care of his murderous forces. As for Iraqi soldiers, the estimates are even much higher, for the wounded and dead. Allied casualties are impossible to estimate because of Washington’s lies.

10. Between one and two thousand tonnes of depleted uranium was deployed by the invading forces, polluting the atmosphere and water supply for years to come. The country is strewn with unexploded cluster bombs, mines, grenades, 40% of the water supply was destroyed, sewage treatment plants devastated, spreading disease among a population purposefully weakened by a decade of cruel sanctions, while Iraq was disarming.

11. Electricity supply systems were targeted with such savagery that experts estimate it will take three years to rebuild (a juicy ten billion dollar contract). 7% of the hospitals were hit in military strikes, the country’s vaccine supplies were hit, placing 210, 000+ newborn babies at risk of dying.

And, they (Fox), the official mouthpiece of John “Kill Obama” McCain don’t even bother to veil their bigotry. If it’s not casting the Obamas as ‘un-American,‘ it’s calling them terrorists, or questioning their ties to “Extremist Friends,” or insinuating that Michelle Obama is a “Whore.”

One of most vile of these troglodyte “Anchor Men,” Mr. Sean Hannity, a goon who suffers from Tertiary Syphilis, ignored Barack Obama’s written disavowals of a Mr. Frank Marshall Davis (see video below) and used one biased guest, author of an anti-Obama book, to stoke racial fears about Obama. On the October 20 edition of Clear Channel’s The Big Show with Bill Cunningham, guest Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson said of former Secretary of State Colin Powell’s endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama: “He’s clearly for the color of the man and not the character.” Cunningham replied, “Great comments, and if Obama was white as chalk, do you think that Powell would be endorsing the Democrat? He didn’t endorse Al Gore, he didn’t endorse Sen. John Kerry. I think color trumps everything in his mind.” Peterson responded: “That’s right, because if it was about what Barack Obama stood for, then he would have endorsed Gore and all those guys, but he did not. You know, it’s so sad, my friend, that most black people today are racist. Not all, not all — but most of them are racist.”

Later in the discussion, Peterson said: “Most black people are — have a socialist mentality. They depend on the government, they don’t get married, most of them don’t work hard, they look to the government to take care of them, and if we allow the socialist Barack Obama to get in, our country would become that way, and we will be in real trouble.”

In previous media appearances, Peterson has called the NAACP “a hate group,” claimed the organization is “a tool of the liberal elite socialist wing of the Democratic Party,” and stated that “crime and out-of-wedlock birth, black folks having babies without being married, and stuff like that is out of control.” According to Peterson, “Not all … but most of them lack moral character. Look what they did to the Louisiana Superdome. In three days, they turned the Dome into a ghetto.”

Additionally, Cunningham said to Peterson: “Another sad thing about this whole thing is that Planned Parenthood has thrown all of its resources behind Obama.” Cunningham went on to assert: “And there has been no institution in America that’s killed more black babies than Planned Parenthood. And Planned Parenthood endorses Obama, who, of course, claims to be black, although his mother’s white. And you have the circumstance where Planned Parenthood is in the business of killing black babies in the black community, and so many African-Americans can’t figure it out.”

Peterson said of abortion: “It’s a — it’s a genocide upon the black community, and yet you have Barack Obama and Colin Powell who support abortion.” He added: “As a matter of fact, Barack Obama supports abortion at any point — whether it’s partial-birth abortion or if a baby should come out alive after the woman has a botched abortion — Barack Obama wants the baby to die on the table, do not give the baby medical care, but let it die.”

Peterson’s claim was based on Obama’s opposition to a bill amending the Illinois Abortion Law of 1975, which, as Media Matters for America has repeatedly noted, Obama and other opponents said posed a threat to abortion rights and was, they said, unnecessary because Illinois law already prohibited the conduct being addressed by the bill. Indeed, as Media Matters noted, when tasked by the Illinois attorney general’s office with investigating allegations that fetuses born alive at an Illinois hospital were abandoned without treatment, the Illinois Department of Public Health reportedly said it was unable to substantiate the allegations but said that if the allegations had proved true, the conduct alleged would have been a violation of existing Illinois law.
