It was a mother’s gift to celebrate her new apartment and to remind her that she is ready for whatever life throws at her. وكانت الام وهدية للاحتفال لها شقة جديدة والى ان أذكرها بأن وقالت انها على استعداد لمهما في الحياة رميات لها. I couldn’t help but think, though, that the six little words at its center were a potent reminder for me, too, in these days following the primary election defeat of Hillary Clinton: لم استطع مساعدتهم ، لكن اعتقد ، مع ذلك ، ان ست كلمات قليلة في المركز كانت تذكره قوية بالنسبة لي ، أيضا ، في هذه الايام في اعقاب الانتخابات الاولية لهزيمة هيلاري كلينتون :

And the chutzpah. وchutzpah. Lord. الرب. Time and again, pundits and politicians predicted her demise. مرارا وتكرارا ، المثقفون والسياسيون تنبأ لها زوال. Time and again, there she was, giving another victory speech. المرة تلو المرة ، كانت هناك ، مع اعطاء انتصارا آخر كلمة. It was enough to make a grown girl giggle. وكان كافيا لجعل اي فتاة نمت الضحكه.

I didn’t always agree with Clinton, but so what? انا لم تتفق دائما مع كلينتون ، ولكن ماذا في ذلك؟ I’d voted for a lot of bozos over the years, and even the best of candidates have flaws. انا صوتت لصالح الكثير من bozos على مر السنين ، وحتى أفضل من المرشحين على العيوب. There is a funereal quality to the coverage of campaigns once they’re over, and Clinton’s is no exception. وثمة نوعية جنائزي لتغطية حملات انهم اكثر من مرة واحدة ، وكلينتون ليست استثناء. I’m just asking for a little space for those who poured a lot of hope and energy into what they thought was going to be the culmination of a lifetime’s worth of dreams. انا فقط نطلب قليلا من تلك الفضاءيه لسكب الكثير من الامل والطاقة الى ما يظنون انه سيكون تتويجا لمدى الحياة قيمته الاحلام.

Surely, nobody understands better that rush of adrenaline than those who dared to believe in Barack Obama. بالتأكيد ، لا احد يفهم ان الاندفاع نحو افضل من تلك التي ادرينالاين من يتجرأ على من يؤمن باراك اوباما. That’s just one of the many things they have in common with the Clinton crowd. ان واحدة فقط من بين العديد من الاشياء التي تكون مشتركة مع كلينتون في التجمهر.

Which brings me to those Clinton supporters who now insist they cannot and will not support Obama. الذي يقودني الى تلك كلينتون من انصار الآن أنهم لا يستطيعون نصر والدعم لن اوباما. We either stand for change or we don’t. اما نحن نقف من اجل التغيير او اننا لا. We believe in participating in democracy, or we don’t. ونحن نعتقد في المشاركة في الديمقراطيه ، او اننا لا. It’s one thing to vote for McCain because you trust his road map for the future. انه شيء واحد على التصويت لماكين الثقة لانك صاحب خارطه الطريق للمستقبل. It’s quite another to do it out of some warped notion of revenge. انه شيء آخر تماما على القيام بها من بعض warped فكرة الثأر والانتقام.
