Death For Gay Ugandans!: Debunking an ‘Ex-Homosexual’ Therapist’s ‘Cure’ For Homosexuality

What I find most disconcerting about this charade is that Africans are once again being duped by “colonialists” — this time by homophobic neo-colonialists, still holding the same book (the Bible), a book they used several decades ago to bamboozle, trample on and de-humanize Africans. Under colonial Europe, Africans received only limited education, which would allow them to read the Bible and take orders efficiently from the Europeans. A good chunk of the problems in Africa today can be linked directly to the Europeans — who divided Africa amongst themselves like a loaf of bread, resulting in todays conflicts — by exploiting Africa’s resources and then leaving behind political structure that were geared toward tyranny and exploitation. It is high time Africans decolonized their minds and stopped relying on neo-colonial Republican bigots and racists to solve their social problems.

Thieving Richard Cohen, a “former homosexual“, claims he can cure “Gayness” by cuddling with “Active Homosexuals.LOL! Only a Republican can come up with such an incredulous scheme to defraud vulnerable homosexuals — who are hounded and murdered all over the world because of their sexual orientation.

Richard Cohen, the “ex-homosexual” therapist is head of the “International Healing Foundation,” which purportedly helps gay people become straight. Cohen’s rancid slander against gay people (they’re a threat to children, etc.), masquerading as “research,” is being used by advocates (Evangelical Republicans) of a proposed law in Uganda that would allow the state to execute homosexuals, reports Glenn Greenwald.

Republicans have invaded Museveni’s Uganda to help him kill his own people. I call this “Homophobic Neo-colonialism.” The teachings of homosexual “healer” Richard Cohen (of the International Healing Foundation‘) and evangelical Republicans has inspired Uganda’s hateful new legislation — “Kill All The Gays

Documentary ‘Outrage’ Outs Florida Gov. Charlie Crist

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

“California GOP Rep. David Dreier and a number of other politicians are the unwilling stars of a controversial new documentary with an explosive premise – it’s time to blow open the closet door on prominent politicians who have hidden their homosexuality while actively working against gay causes.

The film ‘Outrage,‘ which opens today at the Embarcadero Center Cinema in San Francisco, presents interviews and documentation charging that a number of prominent legislators – including Dreier, the U.S. representative from San Dimas (Los Angeles County), GOP Florida Gov. Charlie Crist and former Democratic New York Mayor Ed Koch – have remained closeted while publicly opposing legislation on issues such as same-sex marriage, HIV/AIDS funding, and gays in the military.” Carla Marinucci, Chronicle Political Writer.

A politician’s personal life should have no bearing on his political career. It shouldn’t matter if a candidate is a swinger or a recluse, we should cast our vote based on the issues.

However if a elected leader has sex with a subordinate or if a closeted gay politician votes against gay rights legislation, then a pol’s sex life becomes a matter for public discourse. Americans can’t abide sexual harassment, and they can’t tolerate hypocrisy.

You don’t have to be gay or be blessed with the gift of discernment to figure out that Florida Gov. Charlie Crist is as gay as all get-out. There is absolutely nothing wrong with homosexuality, and I could care less about what Crist does in his bedroom. But Crist’s hypocrisy in voting against gay issues really turns me off, and it’s a good reason not to support him.

During the 2008 presidential campaign Crist got married in a selfish, stupid and transparent attempt to make himself a more desirable vice-presidential running mate. But instead of selecting the intelligent and experienced Crist as his VP, McCain picked the stupid and inexperienced Sarah Palin.

For the record Crist denies that he’s homosexual, but let’s not forget that Dick Cheney denies that he’s a grouchy and evil old man.

It is the responsibility of journalists and especially pundits to uncover hypocrisy wherever they find it. I’ve written many essays lambasting the hypocrisy of televangelists — they preach humility, holiness while they indulge in the sins of the flesh and drive around in luxury automobiles. Any pundit worth his salt will do his patriotic duty and out closeted gay politicans who vote against human rights legislation.

I wish the producers of “Outrage” had sent Governor Crist a ticket to the premiere.

Same-Sex Marriage Now Legal In Iowa

Tags: , , , , , , , ,

Iowa is smack dab in the middle of America’s heartland; the small state is eons away from the cultural and ethnic diversity of the Left coast and East coast. Iowa conjures up images of corn-fed milk drinking families enjoying picnics, going to church, and watching Fox News in their living rooms.

Americans look to California, New York and Florida for new cultural trends and innovations. But Iowa has become the first state in the Midwest to approve same-sex marriage, it joins the liberal bastions of Massachusetts and Connecticut as the only three states where same-sex marriage is legal.

The Iowa Supreme Court unanimously decided that a 1998 law limiting marriage to a man and a woman was unconstitutional.

The decision was the culmination of a four-year legal battle that began in the lower courts. The Supreme Court said same-sex marriages could begin in Iowa in as soon as 21 days.

‘The Iowa statute limiting civil marriage to a union between a man and a woman violates the equal protection clause of the Iowa Constitution,’ the justices said in a summary of their decision.” — Monica Davey and Liz Robbins/The New York Times

If same-sex marriage is now legal in the conservative Mecca of Iowa, every other state in the union should follow suit. As a native Californian my eyes are on the Golden State where the California Supreme Court is currently hearing arguments on the ballot initiative passed by voters last November that outlawed same-sex marriage.

It’s an outrage that same-sex marriage is illegal in the forward-thinking and progressive state of California. Californians (gay and straight) who treasure human rights must not allow this injustice to stand.

The California Supreme Court should follow the sterling example of the Iowa Supreme Court. If gay marriage is legal is the large liberal state of California, and the small conservative state of Iowa I believe it will lead to a chain reaction. Within a few years same-sex marriage will be legal in every state.

Candace Gingrich’s Open Letter To ‘Cockamamie-Bigot’ Brother Newt Gingrich

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

“Cockamamie” Newt Gingrich: In a glimpse of what his candidacy (2008 Presidential Elections) might look like, he said he would shut down public schools that aren’t performing and offer a $20 billion reward for the first private company that successfully completes a Mars mission — Previously Reported by the AP | 41 things you have to believe to be a Republican today |

Dear Newt:

I recently had the displeasure of watching you bash the protestors of the Prop 8 marriage ban to Bill O’Reilly on FOX News. I must say, after years of watching you build your career by stirring up the fears and prejudices of the far right, I feel compelled to use the words of your idol, Ronald Reagan, “There you go, again.”

                                                     Newt Gingrich       Candace Gingrich
Candace Gingrich -- Click To EnlargeHowever, I realize that you may have been a little preoccupied lately with planning your resurrection as the savior of your party, so I thought I would fill you in on a few important developments you might have overlooked.

The truth is that you’re living in a world that no longer exists. I, along with millions of Americans, clearly see the world the way it as — and we embrace what it can be. You, on the other hand, seem incapable of looking for new ideas or moving beyond what worked in the past.

Welcome to the 21st century, big bro. I can understand why you’re so afraid of the energy that has been unleashed after gay and lesbian couples had their rights stripped away from them by a hateful campaign. I can see why you’re sounding the alarm against the activists who use all the latest tech tools to build these rallies from the ground up in cities across the country.

This unstoppable progress has at its core a group we at HRC call Generation Equality. They are the most supportive of full LGBT equality than any American generation ever — and when it comes to the politics of division, well, they don’t roll that way. 18-24 year olds voted overwhelmingly against Prop 8 and overwhelmingly for Barack Obama. And the numbers of young progressive voters will only continue to grow. According to the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning, about 23 million 18-29 year olds voted on Nov. 4, 2008 — the most young voters ever to cast a ballot in a presidential election. That’s an increase of 3 million more voters compared to 2004.

These are the same people who helped elect Barack Obama and sent a decisive message to your party. These young people are the future and their energy will continue to drive our country forward. Even older Americans are turning their backs on the politics of fear and demagoguery that you and your cronies have perfected over the years.

This is a movement of the people that you most fear. It’s a movement of progress — and your words on FOX News only show how truly desperate you are to maintain control of a world that is changing before your very eyes.

Then again, we’ve seen these tactics before. We know how much the right likes to play political and cultural hardball, and then turn around and accuse us of lashing out first. You give a pass to a religious group — one that looks down upon minorities and women — when they use their money and membership roles to roll back the rights of others, and then you label us “fascists” when we fight back. You belittle the relationships of gay and lesbian couples, and yet somehow neglect to explain who anointed you the protector of “traditional” marriage. And, of course, you’ve also mastered taking the foolish actions of a few people and then indicting an entire population based on those mistakes. I fail to see how any of these patterns coincide with the values of “historic Christianity” you claim to champion.

Again, nothing new here. This is just more of the blatant hypocrisy we’re used to hearing.

What really worries me is that you are always willing to use LGBT Americans as political weapons to further your ambitions. That’s really so ’90s, Newt. In this day and age, it’s embarrassing to watch you talk like that. You should be more afraid of the new political climate in America, because, there is no place for you in it.

In other words, stop being a hater, big bro.
