Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,

Rose Mhando a.k.a. Rose Muhando (born 1976 in Dumila village, Kilosa District, Morogoro Region, Tanzania) is a popular East African Swahili gospel artist. Rose, a former devout Muslim and mother of three, claims to have seen a vision of Jesus Christ while indisposed on her sick bed at the age of nine, having suffered for three years, after which she was healed and later converted to Christianity.

Rose sings in Kiswahili.

She started her music career as a choir teacher in Dodoma’s Saint Mary’s Choir for the Chimuli Anglican Church. More Here:: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_Mhando

P/S — I am an ATHEIST, but this is good music, God or no God!

Tanzanian diva Rose Muhando is a darling of many gospel musiclovers. But beyond her touching songs, performed with energy that has been compared to Brenda Fassie’s, few know who Muhando is.

Take this day in Narok town a little known gospel musician, Monica Njoki, from Nyahururu approaches me to try and sell her CDs to me. On asking her which Kenyan gospel musician inspires her, she says Rose Muhando.

“But Muhando is not a Kenyan,” I tell her. “She inspires me all the same,” she says emphatically.

Some local gospel artistes join Rose Muhando on stage during the Kisumu concert. Some local gospel artistes join Rose Muhando on stage during the Kisumu concert.

The Standard On Saturday caught up with the Tanzanian diva barely an hour after she jetted into the country for her Nibebe Tour. She was being driven by her Kenyan manager, Victor Wisdom, in a Toyota Prado, bearing a Tanzania registration.

GUARDED AND SHY

In person, Muhando appears smaller than her larger than life personality on TV. At first, during the interview, she is guarded, coming out as shy, even self-effacing.

“People think that I have a good, smooth life; totally wrong. My life has been plagued by misfortunes from youth.”

Guardedly, Muhando, in impeccable Kiswahili, recalls her childhood, and as the story unfolds, she gets emotional, carefully weighing how I take her incredible story about how she was converted to Christianity by the vision of Jesus, going against her family’s Muslim roots.

Muhando grew up in Ndumila village, Morogoro. She would attend school and afterwards go for madrasa, the Muslim religious school.

“Soon, this routine changed. A mysterious disease that left me bedridden for three years attacked me. My skin was peeling, and I had a gushing wound in my head that oozed smelly pus.”

Muhando dropped out of school as her parents took her to several hospitals, but her ailment could neither be diagnosed nor treated.

“My parents also took me to witchdoctors, but no luck there. Finally, they took me home and I lay on a bed awaiting my death.” But one night, remembers Muhando, as her parents sat outside their grass-thatched house, probably reflecting on their fate, a bright light engulfed their house.

“I saw a bright light. Then a hand clad in white, with a scar in the palm descended from the light and touched my wound,” she pauses, eyes shining, continues.

MIRACULOUS HEALING

“Then a soft voice, exuding authority said, “I am Jesus. I have healed you. Wake up and go serve me.” The light disappeared. Muhando says she ran to her parents shouting, “I am healed, I am healed. They were astounded. For three years, I had not lifted myself from the bed.”

Muhando went back to school to the shock of her teachers, and enrolled in class four. She completed her primary education, but did not progress to high school. While in primary, Muhando loved to sing, she had not joined a Christian church yet.

“I did not know who Jesus was. But while in class seven, the same voice would speak to me regularly, urging me to serve him, ‘Jesus’. I became a loner as I feared my school mates would hear the voice speaking to me.”

It so happened that one of their family friend and neighbour was an Anglican. On narrating her healing and the voice, the woman took young Muhando to church. The week following her first time in church coincided with Easter.

“On Easter Friday, I was baptised at 3pm, the same time Jesus, after he was crucified, had said imekwisha (It is finished). That marked my new beginning.”

Muhando joined the church choir, Mama Joshi in Majengo, Moshi, where she composed and taught the choir new songs.

In 2003, Chimuli Anglican Church invited her to Dodoma where she recorded an album with the St Mary’s choir.

The same year, under the sponsorship of Nathan Wami, she recorded her first album, Mteule Uwe Macho, which went on to achieve unprecedented success in Tanzanian gospel music landscape.

In a month, the sales of the audiocassette climbed from 1,000 copies to 30,000, and it went on climbing. Young and naive, Muhando only cared about preaching through her songs and did not care about piracy. Even after being exploited, she built a house in Dodoma and also bought two cars with the proceeds.

“But that is where my problems began,” rues Muhando. The church wanted me to record music with the church choir, and I was chased away; my dancers left me and because of the lies they put against me, I lost my cars and the house; I was left with nothing.”

PASSIONATE SONGS

It is these tribulations that have seen Muhando compose passionate songs that people identify with, “My latest album, Nibebe is a testimony of my life.”

In her favourite song, Nibebe, Muhando asks Jesus to carry her to safety; “Save me from the mouths of hungry preys; I am being persecuted because of your name; save me from the hands of bad people; people who have been my friends and praying mates; carry me lord.”

Walking from Biashara Street to the I&M Bank Building, she receives smiles from people who recognise her and mellowed a bit by the attention, she talks about her children.

She is not married, but she has three children, aged between nine and 14.

“I live in Dodoma with my children. The first born, Gift Sheheba and the last born, Maxmillian, love to sing while the second born, Nicholas Winton, is quite and loves to pray.”

She spends most of her time composing songs. On Sunday, she preaches and goes for music tours.

She does not mention the father of her children, but vows never to get married. Her aim is to serve God with her music.

Gays And Atheists Protest The Pope’s UK Visit

Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,

“Pope Benedict faced the biggest protest of his 17 trips abroad on Saturday when more than 10,000 people marched in London attacking his treatment of the abuse scandal in the Church, women priests and homosexuality.

Some of the demonstrators were dressed in costumes, including black leather nuns’ habits and red cardinals’ robes. Posters bore the message: ‘Pope Go Home.’

The loudest and most colourful was on Saturday when secularists, atheists, pro-gay groups and human rights campaigners joined forces in a Protest the Pope march from Hyde Park Corner to Downing Street, the prime minister’s residence. [ READ MORE ]

Britain is a post-Christian secular state, and it’s an affront to decency and democracy that the head of the Neanderthal Roman Catholic Church would dare come to the UK.

The Pope doesn’t deserve all the trappings of a head of state; he’s the egomaniac who rules over the homophobic Catholic Church.

A holy congregation of women activists, atheists, and gay rights groups showed their displeasure at the pontiff’s state visit.

People of conscience shouldn’t refrain from ridiculing a religious leader; in fact it’s a moral imperative for good folks to criticize tyrannical religious leaders. Jesus Christ harshly condemned the hypocrital Pharisees

We should follow the excellent example of the Brits, and show the pope no mercy the next time he visits America.

Palin: “Kenyan ‘Witch-Doctor/Pastor’ helped me become Governor”

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

A YouTube video surfaced Wednesday showing Sarah Palin being blessed in her hometown church three years ago by a Kenyan pastor cum witch-doctor, who prayed for her protection from “witchcraft” as she prepared to seek the governor’s office.

[Pastor Muthee Exorcised The Demons & Devils Out of Palin]

In the video Palin is standing before “Bishop” Thomas Muthee in the pulpit of the Wasilla Assembly of God church, holding her hands open as he asked Jesus Christ to keep her safe from “every form of witchcraft.

[Thomas Muthee Prays For Sarah]

“Come on, talk to God about this woman. We declare, save her from Satan,” Muthee says as two attendants place their hands on Palin’s shoulders. “Make her way my God. Bring finances her way even for the campaign in the name of Jesus. … Use her to turn this nation the other way around.”

Palin filed campaign papers a few months later, in October 2005, and was elected governor the next year.

LOL!

On a visit to the church in June 2008, Palin spoke fondly of the Kenyan pastor and told a group of young missionaries that Muthee’s prayers had helped her to become governor.

“Pastor Muthee was here and he was praying over me, and you know how he speaks and he’s so bold,” she said. “And he was praying ‘Lord make a way, Lord make a way’ … He said, ‘Lord make a way and let her do this next step.’ And that’s exactly what happened.”

The Rev. Zipporah Ndiritu, who studied under Muthee in the Kiambu, Kenya-based Word of Faith Church, said the bishop is revered among evangelicals there. In a phone interview from Mombasa, Kenya, she said church doctrine focuses on ridding the world of demons — and witches.

“Even in the days of Jesus Christ, according to the Bible there were witches who were manifesting through demonic forces,” she said. “You can seek from the Lord, and if you find demonic forces you cast them out.”

Ndiritu said she did not know Palin.

Muthee founded the Prayer Cave in 1989 in Kiambu, Kenya, after “God spoke” to him and his late wife, Margaret, and called him to the country, according to the church’s Web site.

Sarah Palin’s Alaskan Armageddon (Clips)

Notice how Palin nods in agreement with the pastor when he says Alaska will be a refuge state for the “lower 48” states just before and during Armageddon.

NOTE:
===============

In Africa, witchcraft has played a role in rebellions, fighting wars, gaining independence and is often seen at election time.

Some people also consult witchdoctors to cure diseases or find a husband.

However, the practise has negative sides – mutilated bodies are often found in Africa, with their organs removed presumably for use in magic charms.

Tutu: ‘Black Theology Seeks the Liberation of All’

By: Archbishop Desmond Mpilo Tutu

Nobel Peace Prize winner and human rights advocate -- Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Mpilo Tutu
Nobel Peace Prize winner and human rights advocateArchbishop Emeritus Desmond Mpilo Tutu

When we were struggling in South Africa against the vicious racist policies of apartheid, it was exhilarating to proclaim to our people that our God was encountered first not in the peaceful quiet of a sanctuary. No, our God was out there in the rough and tumble of the politics of the day. Our God revealed Himself in the utterly vulgar world of setting a fractious rabble of slaves free. Our God was/is the great liberator God of the Exodus — the paradigmatic event that helped to define God as the God who is never unbiased, but is always biased in favor of the oppressed, the marginalized, the down and outs.

This God in Jesus Christ continued to demonstrate this bias — Jesus companied not with the high and mighty, Archbishops, Presidents, and such like, but with the scum of society, prostitutes, sinners, the despised. This was the God who had an extraordinary identification with the little people — inasmuch as you have done this(clothed the naked, fed the hungry, etc.) staggeringly you have done it as to God. Wow. Our God did not give good advice from a safe distance. No, our God entered the fiery furnace to be there as Immanuel, God with us in our anguish and agony. Our God was not deaf, but heard our cries, was not blind but saw our suffering and would as of old come down to deliver us from our bondage too, so that we would enjoy the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Jeremiah Wright has said really no more than this which falls squarely in the ambit of black theology, black religion to answer the anguished questions of black people suffering under the brutality of white racism. It ultimately seeks reconciliation, but you cannot be reconciled with one who has his boot on your neck to keep you in the gutter. To be reconciled you must stand up right to look the other in the eye.

Black theology and religion seek the liberation of all, oppressor and oppressed, black and white together — as we accomplished it in South Africa for freedom is indivisible. Whites won’t be truly free until blacks are free. Listen to Condeleeza Rice in the Washington Times. Obama is a person of courageous integrity. He could have ingratiated himself to white Americans by repudiating his pastor completely. He did nothing of the sort. That speaks volumes for the man. America will not find peace with itself until you really deal with your history. You need something like a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to help you come to terms with your past.

Another Jeremiah, the prophet of old shocked his compatriots when Jerusalem was being besieged by the Chaldeans. He urged his compatriots to desert and join the enemy. What price patriotism.

About The Author: Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Mpilo Tutu was awarded the 1984 Nobel Peace Prize for his contribution to the cause of racial justice in South Africa. HeNo Future Without Forgiveness served as the first black African archbishop of Cape Town from 1986 to 1996.

Prior to this role as spiritual leader of the Anglican Church in South Africa, Tutu served as General Secretary of the South African Council of Churches from 1978 to 1985. It was in this position that he became an international voice for the anti-apartheid movement and received the Nobel Prize.

In 1995, South African President Nelson Mandela appointed Archbishop Tutu Chair of South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the body set up to investigate human rights violations under that country’s apartheid governments from 1960 to 1994. Tutu retired from in 1996 and was given the honorary title of Archbishop Emeritus.

Since then, Archbishop Tutu served as a visiting professor and scholar at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts and the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. He has received numerous awards and has authored two books, No Future Without Forgiveness and God has a Dream.

Tutu continues to write, lecture, and travel the world as an advocate of human rights and social justice. He is currently involved with a number of non-profit organizations working for peace and equality, meeting the needs of disadvantaged children and fighting HIV/AIDS.

The Reverend James David Manning, PhD[?]: “Obama is Satan and ‘White Trash’”

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Idiots come in all shapes, sizes and indeed — colors.

I have rarely called a fellow black person a racist — because the word ReTHUGliTOM usually suffices. In this particular instance, this black pastor reaches and crosses that threshold, flips backwards, somersaults and then pisses and diarrheas all over himself.

This black fella — Hon, Rev. James David Manning is an “un-common racist.

Sincerely, I don’t know what to call this con-man, because he has taken NegroPhobia and Psychoneurosis to new and “disturbing heights.”

Judge For Yourself — LOL!

Obama is a ’54DD’ WHITE/BLACK WOMEN PIMP, a LONG LEG FREAK & MAC DADDY — Pastor Manning

This NUT-BAG needs to see a psychiatrist!

The Hon. Pastor notes: African Americans should never vote for a black man who has not been to jail, citing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Rev. Jesse Jackson and Jesus Christ as great leaders who have all been imprisoned.

His website Atlah.org declares:

The Hon. James David Manning, PhD — James David Manning is the energetic and visionary pastor of the ATLAH World Missionary Church located in ATLAH, New York. He has founded three schools and developed a national church ministry. He holds a PhD in philosopy, the author of The Oblation Hour book, a former Marketing Executive with Proctor and Gamble and the Ford Motor Company.

Visionary? What an insult!,…and judging by the spelling of the word “philosophy” — something is definitely wrong with this man’s mind.

Perhaps the saddest part of this “corruption of the work of God,” is that he has a Flock of followers who he poisons every Sunday — with his sermons.

I say …..this MORON should be stripped off his TAX-EXEMPT status, and the IRS should chase his ass all over New York.

Incidentally, the “FIXED News” people a.k.a. FOX News (Hannity and Colmes) — invited this punk to their show, let him speak his repulsive vile, and then “gleefully” and hypocritically pretended that they were scolding him……..after airing his crap!.

Sean Hannity “forgot” that he has smeared Obama as a black racist based on the views of his pastor Jeremiah Wright. Now, Hannity insisted that Obama is a decent man with good intentions and that it’s not fair to attack his parents when he’s the one running for president. One has to wonder whether Hannity would have been such an advocate if he weren’t a) getting a lot of bad publicity over his former friendship with a Neo-Nazi/white supremacist and b) dealing with a black man attacking Obama. With video…. More From NewsHounds.US

…this is yet another case of FOX News promoting racism using people of color — the twist in this case: The guest is a stupid black racist moron.

This man suffers from more than Negrophobia Syndrome — I think I should invent a new term for this deranged weirdo: How about NegroMORONphobia

Manning makes Pastor Jeremiah Wright look like a “disciplined Carthusian Monk!

Even far right-wing “Num-Nut” Rush Limbaugh calls Pastor Manning’s sermons: ““ROUGH STUFF!”

SWITCHING GEARS…

Here is a girl flashing for Hillary Clinton — LOL!

It’s a crazy world — LOL!
