In the past month, CNBC Mad Money host Jim Cramer has repeatedly characterized President Obama and congressional Democrats as Russian communists intent on “rampant wealth destruction.” Specifically, Cramer has referred to Obama as a “Bolshevik” and said he is “taking cues from Lenin.” Cramer has also used terms such as “Marx,” “comrades,” “Soviet,” “Winter Palace,” and “Politburo” in reference to Democrats and questioned whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is the “general secretary of the Communist Party.”

From Media Matters: In a February 25 press conference, Attorney General Eric Holder asserted that “reinstitut[ing] the ban on the sale of assault weapons” would “have a positive impact in Mexico.” The next day on Lou Dobbs Tonight, correspondent Bill Tucker stated that “as you well know and we reported here often,” drug cartel members are “often armed with weapons that were issued by the Mexican military.” Dobbs responded, in part: “Eric Holder has no empirical basis for anything he’s saying. The man is completely at sea on this.” In fact, U.S. agencies have repeatedly acknowledged that drug cartels have illegally trafficked firearms from the United States into Mexico, and Dobbs himself acknowledged in August 2008 that “victims on both sides” of the border “have been killed by weapons smuggled from the United States.”

SPLC Report: An ‘American Legion’ booklet, full of anti-immigrant falsehoods

America’s largest veterans organization has launched another campaign — a hard-line attack on undocumented immigrants that’s at odds with the legion’s mainstream image. As part of this effort, the legion, which purports to speak for 2.7 million members, recently issued a booklet that regurgitates discredited and often completely false information about how “illegals” are bringing crime, disease, and terrorism to this country, even as they wreck the economy for natives.

The legion’s 34-page booklet, A Strategy to Address Illegal Immigration in the United States, asserts that “poverty, political instability, disease and war” are “on our back doorstep” because of porous borders and the failure of the government to stringently enforce immigration laws. But in making its case, the legion repeatedly cites dubious sources, ignores well-known facts and makes baseless claims — such as the false assertion that the undocumented infected more than 7,000 people in America with leprosy during a recent four-year period…..[ more ]

John McCain’s Immigration Dilemma

The job of Juan Hernandez is to win support for John McCain, particularly Latino votes. So it may seem odd that the campaign doesn’t want its national director of Hispanic outreach to get any press.

Repeated NEWSWEEK requests to interview Hernandez have been rebuffed or ignored.

When a reporter suggested talking to Hernandez at a convention of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, where Hernandez was slated to appear June 28, his name was suddenly removed from the list of scheduled speakers.

A NALEO spokesman, Eric Wagner, says someone from the McCain campaign called and asked to replace him, but didn’t offer an explanation. (A McCain aide, who refused to be quoted discussing internal campaign strategy, later told NEWSWEEK that the campaign had never signed off on Hernandez as a speaker.)

That Lou Dobb’s wife of 25 years is Mexican-American is just incredibly dumb founding — Mexican blood runs in the veins of his daughters, Hillary and Heather, yet he never mentions this on his anti-immigration CNN shows, and it hasn’t stopped him from disparaging immigrants of Mexican heritage, relentlessly, from the pulpit of his CNN show: “Lou Dobbs Tonight.”

I find it extremely inconsistent that one(Lou Dobbs) is married to a MEXICAN …and lives with her and her parents under the same roof, while he issues derogatory comments about Mexicans daily, on his show.

Asked by Leslie Stahl if the U.S. government should deport all illegal immigrants, Lou Dobbs responded as follows: “I’ve never called for their deportation.” [actually he has]. “But at the same time, when this president and open-borders, illegal-alien-amnesty advocates say, “You can’t deport them,” my answer is, “You want to bet?” because this is the United States. I think this country can do anything it sets its mind to.”

A round-and-about way of expressing his burning desire: “Depot ALL these damn Leprosy infected pedophiles.” Note: Recently Lou Dobbs, and despite being confronted with undisputed evidence to the contrary, maintained his claim that there have been 7,000 new cases of leprosy in the U.S. in recent years attributing the increase to “unscreened illegal immigrants.”
