Societies that cannot stare the truth in the eye and call it by its correct name will perish. ان المجتمعات لا يمكن التحديق الحقيقة في العين والذي يطلق عليه الاسم الصحيح من قبل وسوف يموت. They will pack up under the burden of dishonesty, hypocrisy and multiple standards. وسوف حزم تحت وطأة وخيانة الامانة والنفاق والمعايير المتعددة. For one hears, today, a cacophony of insincere passionate pleas from just about everybody to President Kibaki and to ODM leader Mr Raila Odinga. ليسمع المرء ، اليوم ، من غير المخلص نشاز المناشدات فقط من الجميع ان الرئيس كيباكى وزعيم لodm السيد raila اودينغا.

The entire world is asking them to “sit down and agree on the formation of a Cabinet”. والعالم كله يدعوه فيه الى "الجلوس معا والاتفاق على تشكيل حكومة". The truth of the matter is that all these pleas are founded on anything but sincerity. وحقيقة الامر ان كل هذه المناشدات التي تقوم على الاخلاص ولكن شيئا. Why, I must remind you again of the great poem by EG White, on the greatest want of the world. For EG White wrote: لماذا ، لا بد لي ان اذكركم مرة اخرى من قصيدة كبيرة بيضاء على سبيل المثال ، على اكبر نريد من العالم. البيضاء على سبيل المثال ليقول :

The greatest want of the world اكبر نريد من العالم

Is the want of men هي تريد من الرجل

Men who cannot be bought or sold الرجال من حيث انه لا يمكن شراء او بيع

Men whose hearts are true and honest رجال قلوبهم صادقة ونزيهة

Men who call sin by its name دعوة الرجال من خطيءه اسمها

Men whose conscience is true to duty الرجل الذي الضمير صحيح ان واجب

As the need is to the pole وكما هي الحاجة الى قطب

Men who stand for the truth من يقف الرجل عن الحقيقة

Though the heavens fall. على الرغم من سقوط السماوات.

Then I have to remind you of the novelist ثم لا بد لي ان اذكركم الرواءيه Ahmadou Kourouma احمدو Kourouma of Ivory Coast, where he has written about the naked truth. من ساحل العاج ، حيث كتبت عن الحقيقة عارية. He says in the novel Waiting for the Beasts to Vote that nakedness and the truth are two things society cannot squarely face up to. ويقول في الروايه ، والانتظار لحين التصويت على الحيوانات ان التجرد والحقيقة امران لا يمكن لأي مجتمع أن يصل الى مواجهة مباشرة. We know you when you are naked. ونحن نعلم انكم عندما تكون عارية. Away from the trappings of fine linen and stuff, we see you as whom you truly are; the naked you. بعيدا عن البهارج غرامة من الكتان والاشياء ، ونحن نرى ما لكم من هي حقا لك ؛ السافر لكم. The world is most uncomfortable with this. إن العالم غير مريحه اكثر مع هذا. “The world is for clothed peoples. "العالم لوالملبس والشعوب. We cannot enter this world unless we clothe ourselves, unless we abandon our nakedness,” he says. ونحن لا يمكن ان تدخل هذا العالم ما لم يكن والملبس ونحن أنفسنا ، ونحن ما لم نتخلى عن التجرد "، يقول. And so we dress up the truth in lies. وحتى اللباس حتى يكمن في الحقيقة.
