Comedian Jon Stewart Takes a Look at The Healthcare ‘Closing Arguments’

Taking aim at Kinky Dick Morris, Vice President Joe Biden said the political consultant and commentator is “quick to point out every time I put my foot in my mouth, but Dick at least it’s my foot.” VP Biden was speaking yesterday at Radio and Television Correspondents Association dinner.

It’s desperation time for both sides — Democrat vs Republican. With the release of the favorable CBO figures this morning, the Republican entourage led by Senator Mitch McConnell and his strategy of “unified obstruction,” are in “Snake Poison” mood.

According to the Huffington Post, the Congressional budget Office (CBO) indicates that “ObamaCare” will reduce the deficit by $130 Billion over 10 Years, and expand coverage to 32 million people… NEW DEMOCRATIC VOTERS!. LOL!

And, Kansascity.com reports that former Senate Republican leader and presidential candidate Bob Dole, speaking to an audience in Kansas City in October, said McConnell had told him he shouldn’t support health reform because “that’s helping the president.

Republicans never had any intention of working toward bipartisan health care reform. But that doesn’t make it any less needed. It just adds more weight to the case the Democrats should do whatever it takes to get the act passed. [ READ MORE ]

FOX, ‘The Most Biased Name in News’ — Plotting ‘GENOCIDE!’

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

FAIR and BALANCED “Tea Party” Promos on Fox Nation, …..O’REALLY?

The TOTALLY UNBALANCED, BIASED, BIGOTED and sometimes outrightly RACIST Cable “News” Channel — Fox News, is continuing a pattern of encouraging people to participate in “tea party” protests, described primarily as a response to President Obama’s fiscal policies, The Fox Nation linked to an April 8 Fox Forum entry by Fox News contributor James Pinkerton, titled, “Tea Parties: A Great Part of American History — And America’s Future.” The Fox Nation, which Fox News claims does not traffic in “biased media,” also featured an accompanying graphic: a used tea bag superimposed over images of the Constitution and the American flag.

FEAR-MONGERING VIDEO: Glenn Beck imitates Obama pouring gasoline on “average American“; says: “President Obama, why don’t you just set us on fire? … We didn’t vote to lose the Republic”

Fox News’s bias and HATE propaganda is unmatched in modern history!

The Most Biased Name in News has an extraordinary right-wing tilt. On 3/1/01 Rupert Murdoch issued a challenge: “I challenge anybody to show me an example of bias in Fox News Channel.” I wonder whether he still thinks the same today.

“If it hadn’t been for Fox, I don’t know what I’d have done for the news,” Trent Lott gushed after the Florida election recount (Washington Post, 2/5/01). George W. Bush extolled Fox News Channel anchor Tony Snow (Now Dead)–a former speechwriter for Bush’s father–and his “impressive transition to journalism” in a specially taped April 2001 tribute to Snow’s Sunday-morning show on its five-year anniversary (Washington Post, 5/7/01). The right-wing Heritage Foundation had to warn its staffers not to watch so much Fox News on their computers, because it was causing the think tank’s system to crash.

When it comes to Fox News Channel, conservatives don’t feel the need to “work the ref.” The ref is already on their side. Since its 1996 launch, Fox has become a central hub of the conservative movement’s well-oiled media machine. Together with the GOP organization and its satellite think tanks and advocacy groups, this network of fiercely partisan outlets–such as the Washington Times, the Wall Street Journal editorial page and conservative talk-radio shows like Rush Limbaugh’s–forms a highly effective right-wing echo chamber where GOP-friendly news stories can be promoted, repeated and amplified. Fox is a stinking den of LIES and innuendo. — [ READ MORE ]

Fox Propaganda = Nazi Propaganda

Nazi propaganda, much of which centered on Jews, consistently alleged to be the source of Germany’s problems. At Fox, the source is IMMIGRANTS, ACORN and President BARACK OBAMA

Nazi propaganda also expressed themes more common among the warring countries: the imminent defeat of their enemies, the need for security, etc. Doctored newsreel footage was also used to garner support for the Nazi cause.

At Fox, Glenn Beck conjures imaginary enemies, while Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly are the co-Ministers of Propaganda and Enlightenment — charged with educating right-wing THUGS about Barack Obama’s “emerging” Fascism, Communism or Socialism.

Rupert Murdoch oversees, while Roger Ailes runs the show, with the help of underlings O’Reilly and co., effectively making Murdoch Fox’s HITLER, and Roger Ailes his deputy — Rudolf Hess.

Similarly, the Rwandese GENOCIDE masterminds conspired together to “work out a plan with intent to exterminate the civilian Tutsi population and eliminate members of the opposition (Cockroaches),” through radio and TV broadcasts.

Bill O’Reilly’s “Vast Left Wing Loons,” are eerily similar to Interahamwe’s Cockroaches. In O’Reilly’s own words, the left-wing loons are intent on breaking the WHITE CHRISTIAN MALE POWER-STRUCTURE, …and consequently America will cease to exist!

O’Reilly’s pontifications are a direct appeal to the “angry” southern white christian male, to rise, and defend the HOMELAND — to keep the “Cradle of the Confederacy” safe from leprosy, pedophiles, Mexicans, ACORN, Barack Obama and rampant godlessness.

At CNN, the King of Xenophobia, Lou Dobbs (Married To A Mexican For 25 Years), is waging a similar war, primarily against Mexican immigrants. Dobbs’s anti-immigrant campaign bears marked resemblance to that conducted against Jews by Dr. Joseph Goebbels — “Minister for Public Enlightenment & Propaganda in Nazi Germany.

….or when Glenn Beck warns his audience that Obama is planning to, “slowly but surely take away your gun or take away your ability to shoot a gun, carry a gun,” ….the poor, confused, brainwashed, racist and thoroughly un-educated whites in Appalachia, CLING TO THEIR GUNS and tremble in mortal FEAR!!

This kind of falsified and incendiary rhetoric, led to the killing of three police officers in Pittsburgh a few days ago. Richard Poplawski, the man who allegedly murdered the three cops, was clearly influenced by Fox News’s Glenn Beck and right-wing radio.

There are millions more Poplawskis out there — waiting for the order to wipe out the imaginary enemies — immigrants, ACORN, left-wingers, President Obama and Hillary Clinton!

Video: Theoneste Bagosora Being Sentenced To Life By The International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, Sitting in Arusha, Tanzania

While criminals like Theoneste Bagosora, a former Rwandese army colonel, plotted and supplied the Interahamwe militia with the weapons with which to carry out the genocide and encouraged others to help carry out the massacres, Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly do not need to arm any right-wing NUT-BAG, ….they are already armed to the teeth, thanks to the 2ND AMENDMENT of the United States constitution!

Newsweek’s Harold Fineman: ‘Palin Was Like A Wolverine Attacking The Pant Leg Of A Passerby’

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

The press probably will give Palin credit for not falling down on stage. She couldn’t deal with many of the questions directly or most of the facts, so she bloviated according to plan. She winked at us; the voters won’t wink back at her. I think people still have a bullshit factor — and that means she survived even as she met the low expectations she’s created. McCain gained nothing; he was the loser — in the first presidential debate, and the vice-presidential one. Palin relied on topline phrases and had little command of facts. Why, she even memorized the name of the President of Iran. But it was mostly blah, blah, blah. At the end, the Obama-Biden ticket is far ahead on the big issues — and Palin’s a parrot repeating memorized phrases, not a plausible vice-president. Biden called her on it every time. — Robert Shrum, Political Consultant.

The “Killa From Wasilla” came to the debate armed to the teeth with Republican talking points. She wasn’t afraid, she had the confidence — that of a robot programmed to “Vomit Policy.

Sarah The Barracuda” was pesky, scripted, loud, shrill and incoherent, as she rattled whatever her coaches had crammed into her head, with abandon.

For the entire ninety minutes she shuffled her “cheat sheets,” as if she were taking an “Open Book-Open Notes” Exam or participating in a Spelling Bee contest. She scraped and fought hard, spewing “Gibberish” by the bucket.

Ms. Palin exhibited little spontaneity and looked thoroughly rehearsed — sometimes avoided answering questions directly, instead slid into irrelevant sound-bites about her tenure as mayor of “tiny-town” Wasilla, Alaska.

On foreign policy, Palin stalled — giving generic non-specific answers, and when she resorted to her juvenile chants — “Maverick!,” “We are mavericks!,” “We are a maverick team!,” Biden promptly shot her down: “McCain wasn’t a maverick on ‘the things that matter to people’s lives,‘ citing issues such as health care, education and the war.” “He’s not been a maverick on virtually anything that genuinely affects the things that people really talk about around their kitchen table,” Biden said.

The debate format was not confrontational, and Joe Biden avoided engaging her, for fear of being labeled sexist. Had he forced her to deviate from her script, the results would have been disastrous. She would have forgotten her lines and gone off on some of her moronic, meaningless rambles.

CNN’s political analyst Bill Schneider was critical: “Palin’s answers do not lack confidence, they lack coherence.”

Newsweek’s Harold Fineman: “Palin was like ‘A Wolverine’ Attacking The Pant Leg Of
A Passerby.”

Joe Biden on the other hand was remarkably restrained, awash with policy and his vast knowledge and experience clearly showed. He offered much more detail on a range of topics, from national security to domestic issues, and relentlessly lumped McCain with Bush.

While Sarah acted like a “frisky” freshman debater, Joe was polished and presidential in his delivery.

Per Bob Shrum, Palin did not fall down on the stage — she survived.

Her performance was much better than I expected, because of one and only one reason — the debate format allowed her to stick to her rehearsed script. There were barely any follow-ups by the moderator, unlike in the first Obama-McCain debate, when vigorous follow-ups revealed the stark differences, weaknesses and strengths of the two candidates.

In this debate, Palin was allowed to verbally diarrhea “crammed policy,” like an express train without brakes, spewing useless garbage, winking and giving a “shout-out” to some high school in Alaska!

Give me a break! How stupid does one have to be not to read through this nonsense?

She is a total embarrassment — an affront to intellectualism, a trait I insist must be part of the package of a serious contender for the presidency of this great land.

Hockey Moms” stay home and manage their families, they do not run for an office where they might be required to manage the largest stockpile of nuclear and biological weapons on earth.

My assessment is that Sarah Palin is not ready. She still knows nothing. Go Home Sarah!

“This is going to help stop the bleeding,” said Todd Harris, a Republican consultant who worked for Mr. McCain in his first presidential campaign. “But this alone won’t change the trend line, particularly in some of the battleground states.”

Partisan right-wing THUGS had other ideas:

“Sarah Palin was sensational tonight,” roared White Nationalist Bigot Pat Buchanan, in a post-debate comment on the MSNBC cable network. “She regained that magic she had at the convention.”

Joining the maniacal squealing, were the SYPHILITIC NATIVIST NAZIS at Fox News. Festooned around their racist brains is the falsehood that Sarah Palin won the debate hands down.

Sarah’s “Spelling-Bee Performance” must have injected a shot of liquid cannabis into their soiled veins.

Morons!

Well, ALL post-debate polls indicate that Biden thrashed her decisively, while holding back his fire considerably.

But then what’s to be expected of the “FIX” News Channel?

1. Woman of Mass DestructionWhy Some Women Hate Sarah Palin — “Women are weapons-grade haters. Hillary Clinton knows it. Palin knows it too. When women get their hate on, they don’t just dislike, or find disfavor with, or sort of not really appreciate. They loathe — deeply, richly, sustainingly. I do not say this to disparage my gender; women also love in more or less the same way.” — Belinda Luscombe

2. Palin Delivers, but Doubt Not Erased — One debate will not erase doubts that have been building about Palin’s capacity to serve as vice president, but the effect of the encounter may shift the focus away from the sideshow that Palin has become and put it back on the two presidential nominees and what they would do for the country. Thursday’s debate adds to the importance of the two remaining presidential debates, the first of which will be held Tuesday.

3. McCain Lost the VP Debate Too — Today McCain pulled out of Michigan; the economic news worsened. The electoral map is smaller; the economy is smaller; and the odds on McCain are longer and longer. The press probably will give Palin credit for not falling down on stage. She couldn’t deal with many of the questions directly or most of the facts, so she bloviated according to plan. She winked at us; the voters won’t wink back at her. Pat Buchanan thinks she won. I think people still have a bullshit factor– and that means she survived even as she met the low expectations she’s created. McCain gained nothing; he was the loser — in the first presidential debate, and the vice-presidential one.

4. She Still Knows Nothing — Palin proved that she can speak in complete sentences, but not that she understands anything about foreign policy.

5. No debate, Biden won — True, the governor of Alaska did better than many people expected. But Joe Biden showed why he’s in a different class

Clinton Concedes — Says: ‘Yes, We Can’ Elect Barack Obama

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Clinton bows out and delivers promise to strongly back, and to throw ‘full support’ to Barack Obama.

Hillary Clinton as expected today ended her bid for the White House and formally endorsed Barack Obama during a speech Saturday at the National Building Museum in Washington.

She was unequivocal in her praise for Obama, and the speech is being seen by pundits as a way to heal rifts in the party after a hard-fought battle.

Last night Senators Obama and Clinton Meet in Washington DC privately (see video below):

Her departure from the presidential race today does mark the end of the longest and most important thread of the Clinton story.

In a letter on her Web site, Mrs. Clinton expressed her support for Mr. Obama in this way: “Over the course of the last 16 months, I have been privileged and touched to witness the incredible dedication and sacrifice of so many people working for our campaign. Every minute you put into helping us win, every dollar you gave to keep up the fight meant more to me than I can ever possibly tell you.”

Mrs. Clinton continued, saying: I “extend my congratulations to Senator Obama and my support for his candidacy. This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans.” …[MORE]

[Obama -- Thank You Hillary!]

Message From Howard Dean – DNC Chairman | Make A Contribution

Dear Friend,

We’ve just finished the most exciting primary contest in a generation, and Barack Obama is our presumptive nominee for President.

Senator Clinton ran an outstanding campaign and we all should be deeply thankful for the passion, energy, and ideas that defined her from the start. Our country and our Party are better off today because the incredible amount of work she and her supporters put into her campaign. We thank Hillary for her leadership, her commitment to America and the Democratic Party.

It can be tough to lose a hard-fought race — I know, because I’ve been there. But no matter who you supported, you’re part of a bigger family — one that shares the same hopes, values, and dreams. This campaign is so much more than any of us or any candidate. It’s about the future of our country, and our collective desire to take it back for the people who make it great.

Over the next few weeks and months, our family will reunite. It starts today, and I’m asking for your help. Reach out to your friends and family, your neighbors and coworkers, and anyone else who may have fought hard for what they believed in. Bring them in and remind them that we’re a family — that together, we can bring about fundamental change and elect a Democratic president.

We have to be unified if we’re going to bring universal health care to America’s families, to help fight global climate change, to ensure a woman’s right to make her own medical decisions, and to end the war in Iraq.

We have to be unified if we’re going to put a Democrat back in the White House.

Over the past few years, we’ve all been part of the work to rebuild the Democratic Party in all 50 states.

When the primary came around, we found ourselves with two once-in-a-lifetime candidates. Barack and Hillary crossed the country inspiring activists, building organizations, and registering new voters. In state after state, we saw record turnout that dwarfed the Republican’s; we saw hundreds of thousands of Americans become involved with a Democratic campaign for the first time; and millions of voters saw just how passionately we feel about the future of our country.

After years of rebuilding and a historic primary campaign, our Democratic community is stronger than ever before. And with Barack Obama, we have a candidate who has inspired millions of people to believe again.

But change doesn’t come easily — and no matter how much we’ve prepared, no matter how inspiring our candidate, no matter how badly we want it to happen, we have to fight for it every step of the way. Absolutely nothing will be handed to us over the next five months — we have to do everything we can to make sure Barack Obama is our next President.

We’ve just seen two brilliant candidates run the most exciting primary in decades. Now we need to come together and finish the job.

I’m looking forward to it.

Howard Dean
