Tea Party Movement: Racist And Homophobic

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

“Protesters outside the US Capitol, angry about the proposed healthcare reform bill, shouted ‘nigger‘ at a US Congressman, John Lewis, a civil rights icon from Georgia who was nearly beaten to death during an Alabama march in the 1960s.

The protesters also shouted obscenities at other members of the Congressional Black Caucus, legislators said. Capitol Police escorted the members of Congress into the Capitol after the confrontation. At least one demonstrator was reportedly arrested.

Protesters also directed slurs at Representative Barney Frank, a Democrat from Massachusetts who is openly gay. A writer for Huffington Post said the crowd called him a ‘faggot.’” [ READ MORE ]

The Tea Party claims that they are a grass roots movement that appeals to all demographics. They insist that they are non-partisans who are fed up with big government and high taxes.

But at tea party gatherings you will see a sea of white faces, with almost no African Americans, Hispanics or other minorities in attendance. The speakers condemn and criticize only Democratic leaders.

The Tea Party movement is the antitheses of diversity and inclusiveness, it’s an organization of angry white men who tend to be Republican and Libertarian. (and racist.)

Tea Party protestors outside the US Capitol, furious about the proposed health care reform bill that would help minorities and the working poor, shouted “nigger” at John Lewis.

It’s an outrage that Congressman Lewis who was almost beaten to death at a Civil Rights march in the 1960’s, should be subjected to such vile racist epithets outside the Capitol building.

Republican National Chairman Michael Steele and one of the organizers of Saturday’s Tea Party mob condemned the verbal attacks on Lewis and Frank, but the cat’s out of the bag the Tea Party movement is racist and homophobic.

Sarah Palin Defends Writing On Her Hand: God Did Same Thing

Tags: , , , , , , , ,

“The former Alaskan governor (Sarah Palin) was speaking at an Ohio Right to Life fund-raiser last week when she addressed the palm-writing incident that occurred at a Tea Party convention last month and earned her so much media mockery.

‘I didn’t [at the time] have a good answer to that criticism because I thought it was so ridiculous,’ Palin told the nearly 3,000 people at the event.

But now the 46-year-old GOP star has her response:

‘If it was good enough for God, scribbling on the palm of his hand, it’s good enough for me,’ Palin said to cheers from the crowd, who laughed along with her.

Writing crib notes on your palm is something dull elementary school students sometimes resort to, to pass a difficult exam. It’s uncomfortable and difficult for an adult, nevermind a seasoned politician, to explain relying on such a crude method to remember information. It’s not surprising that is took Sarah Palin so long to address the issue.

Palin was speaking to a Right to Life gathering when she tackled the “crib notes” issue, any explanation would have sufficed for this loyal Palin constituency. Palin ( I will give her the benefit of the doubt that she was joking) basically said: God did the same thing, I’m in good company. She quoted Isaiah 49:16: See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.

I wonder how many times Sarah had to write Todd’s name on her palm before she remembered it? It would be fascinating to glimpse all the things that Palin has written on her hands throughout the years.

Right to Lifers would accept any explanation that invokes the Almighty, and Palin’s words were met with thundering applause. But the rest of America still thinks that Palin is a dim bulb, and I have faith that my fellow Americans would never elect Palin as the next President of the United States. Right????

Racism Prevails At Teabagger Convention

Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

Sarah Palin was the headline speaker at the recent Tea Party Convention, but I won’t risk a migraine by attempting to analyze her drivel. Ya know, what I’m talking about?

Tom Tancredo, the former congressman from Colorado, also spoke at the teabagger convention, and his speech is a fair representation of the mindset of the teabaggers.

Let’s examine a paragraph from that speech in which Tancredo questions the very legitimacy of the 2008 election results:

“People who could not spell the word ‘vote‘ or say it in English put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House – (his) name is Barack Hussein Obama. The revolution has come. It was led by the cult of multiculturalism aided by leftist liberals all over who don’t have the same ideas about America as we do.”

The 2008 election wasn’t a replay of the controversial 2000 campaign, Obama won a clear and decisive victory. At this juncture the only ones who question the legitimacy of Obama’s mandate are racists who can’t accept a black man in the Oval Office. A constant refrain at teabagger events is the illegitimacy of the Obama presidency.

Tancredo is unable to make a speech without taking a swipe at Hispanics in general and undocumented workers is particular. The failed presidential candidate claims that people who can’t even say “vote” in English helped put Obama in the White House. This anti-Hispanic sentiment is rampant at teabagger shindigs, no wonder you won’t find any Latinos at teabagger meetings.

Tancredo like most teabaggers has a European-centric perspective, thus his dig at multiculturism and his mention of Obama’s middle name. Everything European is good, Everything Mexican, Arabian, Chinese, and African is bad — according to the teabaggers. America is a pluralistic society, made up of immigrants not only from Europe, but from everywhere in the world.

Whites will soon be a minority in America, and America will soon be surpassed by China and India in the realms of economics, science and military might.

Sarah Palin, Tancredo and the teabaggers are Neanderthals on the losing side of history, they will soon be overwhelmed by demographics.

Sarah Palin Is An Idiot

Tags: , , , , , , ,

“So, there’s been some buzz in the liberal blogosphere and on CNN over photos and video that show Sarah Palin had some notes written in the palm of her left hand when she was on stage Saturday evening at the Tea Party Convention in Nashville.

As the liberal Huffington Post shows, the words were ‘energy‘,’tax’, ‘lift American spirits‘ and ‘budget cuts‘ with the word ‘budget’ crossed out.” Mark Memmott/NPR

Conservatives criticize President Obama because he never leaves home without his teleprompter. Obama delivers speeches on a weekly basis on diverse subjects, it’s understandable that he needs an electronic device to aid his memory.

But Sarah Palin relies on a somewhat more low-tech means to help remember her talking points: Words scribbled on her hand. When I was in elementary school I cheated by scribbling the answers for a test on the palm of my hand, but when I became a man I put away childish things.

Palin still has a “grade school mentality“, and she actually scribbled notes on her hand. It’s incredible that Palin needs help to remember such broad topics like “budget cuts” and “energy tax“. I could understand if the conservative hottie wrote down the name of the Pakistani leader on her hand, but “lift American spirits“? Please!

The Thrilla from Wasilla is certainly doing her part to lift American spirits by dressing sexy. In the interview in which Palin relied on crib notes, she was wearing a short skirt that made her indistinguishable from the other Fox News hotties.

I pray that Sarah Palin is never elected President of the United States; I can imagine her glancing at her hand repeatedly when she meets with world leaders.

Most Americans Don’t Want Sarah Palin To Run For President

Tags: , , , , , , ,

Sarah Palin’s memoir is selling like hotcakes, teabaggers flock to hear her speak, and she has a national platform as a commentator for Fox News.

Sarah Palin is on top of the world, and it’s a given that she will run for president in 2012!

Wrong!

“According to a new CBS News poll out Tuesday, 71 percent are against the former Republican vice presidential candidate launching her own bid for the White House in two years while 21 percent are in favor of a potential run.

Broken down by party, 56 percent of Republicans are against a potential Palin presidential campaign while 30 percent are for it. Meanwhile, the vast majority of Democrats, 88 percent, are not in favor of a Palin presidential run.

The survey also finds significantly more people view Palin negatively than positively: 41 percent negative compared to 26 percent positive.” — CNN Political Ticker

People love Sarah Palin as eye candy and as comic relief, but even a majority of Republicans don’t want Sarah Palin within a mile of the White House red button.

Sarah Palin has a hardcore base that will stand by her side come hell or high water, but her liabilities preclude her from expanding her base.

Liberals came stop having nightmares of a Sarah Palin presidency, it will never happen. Palin has found her niche at Fox News, and after studying the results of the CBS poll she may not leave her comfortable gig to seek the presidency.
