In an interview with John King of CNN, Nancy Pelosi said: He’s (Newt Gingrich) not going to be President of the United States. That’s not going to happen. Let me just make my prediction and stand by it, it’s not going to happen. When King asked Pelosi why she was so sure, she responded: There is something I know. The Republicans, if they choose to nominate him that’s their prerogative. I don’t even think that’s going to happen.

Newt Gingrich has so many skeletons in his closet, that it looks like a graveyard. At lot of the skeletons have come out, we know about his mistresses and failed marriages, his career as a lobbyist/historian, and how can we forget that he was forced to resign as Speaker of the House in disgrace?

Nancy Pelosi may be privy to some damaging information that hasn’t been revealed yet that was uncovered during the exhaustive and extensive investigation by the House Ethics Committee that lead to the downfall of Speaker Gingrich.

Gingrich responded to Pelosi’s veiled threat in his typical sexist and blustery fashion, by calling her “hysterical.” If Gingrich becomes President he will make the last four years look like a bipartisan lovefest between Obama and Congress. Gingrich is the most divisive politician in recent memory, and there’s a good chance his administration would end in impeachment.

If Pelosi knows damaging information about Gingrich, it’s incumbent upon her to release it for the good of the Republican party and the democratic process.

Every minute that Gingrich enjoys the spotlight as the GOP frontrunner brings shame to America. The rest of the world must be wondering how such a vile and hideous person can be taken seriously by the American electorate.

Sometimes presidential candidates engage in hyperbole to make their point, but Romney is spot on in his assessment of Newt Gingrich. The former Speaker of the House is a hapless buffoon, a fraud, and a disgrace to humankind.

Newt Gingrich may not have met the legal definition of a lobbyist, but nobody could convincingly argue that he wasn’t an influence peddler. Newt, with a straight face, claims that Freddie Mac paid him an obscene amount of money to serve as a historian for them.

Mitt Romney is finally realizing that when dealing with a bully you throw nuance out the window, and call a spade a spade. Romney should attack Gingrich on every front, he should attack the portly politician on his woeful ethics in the realms of politics and business.

In a speech in Florida Mitt hit Gingrich hard:

He was a leader for four years as speaker of the House. And at the end of four years, it was proven that he was a failed leader and he had to resign in disgrace. I don’t know whether you knew that, he actually resigned after four years, in disgrace.

That’s the ticket, Romney needs to hit Gingrich again and again, until like the typical bully he cries: Uncle.

When facing a huge bully you don’t slap him on the face, that’s not going to knock him down. You pick up a two-by-four and hit him upside the head. Romney needs to pick up Gingrich’s heavy baggage and clobber him senseless.

On the stump, and especially in the debates, Romney must lay out his case against Newt Gingrich. The America public has a short memory, and Romney must remind the electorate that Gingrich is an ethically-challenged fraud.

Gingrich won the South Carolina primary because he bullied the debate moderators (Juan Williams and John King), and his fellow presidential hopefuls. Unlike Gingrich Romney is a gentleman, but if he doesn’t want to lose in Florida, he must go after Gingrich tooth and nail.

Rick Santorum and Ron Paul would be advised to do the same, hit Gingrich hard and often. It would be a disaster for the GOP and our democratic process if a thug like Gingrich wins the Republican nomination.

I’m very liberal, and it would be to my benefit if Gingrich won the Republican nomination, because President Obama would make mincemeat out of him. But as a patriot and a believer in the democratic process, I hope that sanity prevails and Mitt Romney wins. [ READ MORE ]

Newt Gingrich’s presidential campaign was stillborn, shortly after his announcement to enter the race it was revealed that he owed Tiffany’s as much as $500,000. Before Gingrich got his political feet wet, he went on a luxury cruise in Greece with his decades-younger wife. On June 9, 2011 his outraged campaign staff resigned en masse, and pundits and politicians declared that his candidacy was no longer viable. It’s surprising that Gingrich, who converted to Catholicism to please his hot Catholic wife, didn’t hire a priest to say the last rites over his presidential aspirations.

In late fall and early December of 2012, after Herman Cain quit the race in the midst of a sex scandal, Newt’s campaign was resurrected. Gingrich had a series of solid debate performances, in which he had nothing but nice things to say about his competitors. Gingrich, whose default mode is mean and grouchy, was as loveable as the Pillsbury Dough Boy. Voters were shocked and enthralled by the new Newt, and his poll numbers skyrocketed.

Mitt Romney, the frontrunner, got worried about Newt’s rise in the poll and he unleashed his Super PAC to blanket the Iowa airwaves with anti-Gingrich ads. Everyone decries negative ads, but they work. Newt’s poll numbers plummeted, and he reverted to his evil ways.

Gingrich was furious at Romney, and he was on a mission from God to destroy him. When Gingrich is mad, even the devil gives him a wide berth.

Newt as a nice guy is novel and refreshing at first, but ultimately it’s unsettling and disconcerting. Newt as a angry white conservative perfectly captures the spirit of the GOP electorate. Gingrich rose from the dead once again, and now he may win the South Carolina primary.

Conservatives are mad at Obama, the media, minorities, environmentalists, women who think for themselves, the government, liberals, and puppies and kittens — Gingrich and his followers feed off each others’ fury. When Gingrich is speaking before an audience of the faithful, and he starts railing against Obama and liberals, I hold my breath afraid that the venom will reach such a fever pitch that it may set of an explosion.

Gingrich ain’t no choir boy, but the hypocritical religious conservatives overlook his many moral failings because they love his rage more than they love the baby Jesus.

Gingrich with his corpulent physique and sharp tongue embodies the greed, corruption, and anger of the GOP. The Republicans would be well-advised to ditch the elephant logo and replaced it with an image of Newt, nobody might notice the difference.

Can Gingrich ride this holy rage all the way to the Republican nomination? It’s the diehards and true believers who vote in the primaries, I wouldn’t bet against it. Republicans don’t want a Pillsbury Dough Boy representing their interests, they want a demonic figure who is full of wrath and bile.

Why Newt Gingrich Got a ‘Big Hearty Applause’ For Racist ‘Food-Stamp Comments’ in S.C.

“MSNBC’s Alex Wagner is caught muttering ‘Jesus’ under her breath as a clip of Rick Santorum talking about classes in America plays.

‘There’s a term I know that people use all the time called ‘middle class.’ As if there are classes in America,’ Santorum said.” — RealClearPolitics.Com

I was watching “Now with Alex Wagner” on MSNBC when that segment aired, and I didn’t hear her mutter “Jesus” when Santorum was babbling incoherently abut there being no classes in America. Instead of uttering “Jesus” under her breath, Wagner should have loudly exclaimed “Jesus“, that would have been a succinct, and concise commentary. Santorum’s patently absurd pronouncement didn’t deserve any in-depth analysis, a simple “Jesus” would have sufficed.

Wagner is an analyst and not a news anchor, but even if Diane Sawyer muttered “Jesus” under the same circumstances, most viewers would forgive her impromptu editorializing.

When I hear any of the GOP presidential hopefuls on TV speak on any subject, I often mumble expletives in disbelief at their contorted logic.

Alex Wagner is an insightful analyst, but she needs to cut loose. Girlfriend, don’t be afraid to shout out “Jesus” the next time Santorum, Gingrich, Perry or any of the other GOP clowns makes an outrageous statement.

Mitt Romney is the first Republican non-incumbent who has won the Iowa Caucus and the New Hampshire Primary. If Romney wins the South Carolina primary, a contest tailor-made for his more conservative opponents, the former governor of Massachusetts will be unstoppable.

It’s win now or never, and Romney’s adversaries are pulling out all the stops in South Carolina. All of the GOP presidential hopefuls, especially Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry, are calling Romney the most vile names in the GOP playbook.

Newt Gingrich unfailingly refers to Romney as the “Massachusetts Moderate“, that has a worse sting than being called the “Massachusetts Murderer.” “Moderate” is the worst epithet that a Republican can hurl at a fellow conservative. I’ll give the alliteration-loving Gingrich credit for not playing the religion card, and addressing Romney as the “Massachusetts Mormon.”

Texas Governor Rick Perry, whose campaign is financed by venture capitalists, is attacking Romney from the left, dismissing him as a “vulture capitalist.”

But leave it to the ethically-challenged Gingrich to sink to a new low, in his new anti-Romney ad, the former Speaker of the House castigates Romney for speaking French. In a new ad posted to Gingrich’s Web site the narrator warns: Massachusetts moderate Mitt Romney — he’ll say anything to win . Anything, and just like John Kerry he speaks French, too.”

If during a debate Romney’s head starting to spin around as if he were possessed by a demon, and he uttered blasphemies, the audience would be disturbed, but not as disturbed if he uttered a French phrase.

What ever happened to Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment, not to speak ill of a fellow Republican? Newt needs to clean up his act, and make amends by saying something nice about Romney. If Newt declares that Romney is to the right of Attila the Hun, that would go a long ways to healing the rift between them.
