Obama should counter-punch harder against McCain’s harsh personal attacks & lies

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

It seems like John McCain has decided that the only way to beat Obama is through mud-flinging, lies and racial innuendo.

When he’s not standing in a supermarket cheese aisle holding forth unsteadily on the definition of the Iraq surge or at a German beer garden outside Columbus (while U.S. Sen. Barack Obama spoke to 200,000 in Berlin), U.S. Sen. John McCain has his eyes on what he sees as the holy grail that will clinch his victory come November 4: offshore drilling, a.k.a. The Big Lie….Melissa Merz –> [MORE >>]

McCain’s Ad — “Painful”

The Obama Team Responds:

“This ad is a lie, and it’s part of the old, tired politics of a party in Washington that has run out of ideas and run out of steam. Even though a host of independent, nonpartisan organizations have said this attack isn’t true, Senator McCain continues to lie about Senator Obama’s plan to give 95% of all families a tax cut of $1,000, and not raise taxes for those making under $250,000 a single dime. The reason so many families are hurting today is because we’ve had eight years of failed Bush policies that Senator McCain wants to continue for another four, and that’s what Barack Obama will change as President,” said Obama campaign spokesman Hari Sevugan.

Obama’s first Olympic Ad - “Hands”

Obama needs to fight back harder

McCain The SnakeThe so-called low information voter is not capable of assimilating and analyzing “Professorial Presentation,”……they are called low information for a reason: They couldn’t excel in school! They get bored easily, and do little or no research, and therefore tend to gravitate to “things raw, hard-hitting and STUPID,“…..talk radio hearsay, clandestine smears and utter nonsense. Anyone who relies on unscrupulous shysters like Limbaugh or Hannity for information is STUPID….thoroughly well!

John McCain, a Republican is aware of this “Voter Deficiency.” — and will milk it as effectively as every ReTHUGlican presidential candidate has done over the last 40 years.

One of the Democratic Party’s leading electoral street fighters, New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, was right when he said that Barack Obama should respond to John McCain’s personal attacks with an equally personal slap.

McCain’s quarter century congressional/senatorial career is littered with “plump fodder” ripe for plucking:

1. Vote For John McCain and Put A Thief In The White House!

Vote For John McCain and Put A Thief In The White House

Obama is running a campaign based on hope and a positive future. I don’t how he should counter McCain without obscuring his primary message — but I believe the only way to defeat a snake which is spewing deadly venom is to beat it on the head — with a BILLY CLUB!

2. John McCain - A temperamental “political chameleon” who dumped crippled first-wife for Cindy and her “Beer Inheritance.” — “Family Values” ReTHUGlican — John McCain is a self-centered womanizer who abandoned his crippled first-wife for his present wife Cindy, a former rodeo beauty queen, for financial reasons…..Read More Here

3. Thinking about voting for McCain? Read this book (below). McCain is the classic opportunist. He’s always reaching for attention and glory — Just because he flew a couple of missions in Vietnam (another illegal war) — then got shot down, and had his NUTS squeezed and his arms broken, is hardly sufficient reason for America to elect another idiot to mess up things even more!!

The Real McCain: Why Conservatives Don't Trust Him and Why Independents Shouldn'tEditorial Reviews | Book Description: Cliff Schecter’s hard-hitting profile explores the gap between the public record of Senator John McCain and his media image. Drawing on a range of sources and adding his unique perspective and humor, Schecter guides the reader though McCain’s long history of expedient flip-flops–especially on his signature issues of national security and campaign finance reform.

Far from a straight-talking maverick, McCain emerges as a temperamental political chameleon who will do or say virtually anything to become president of the United States. On issue after issue–including the invasion and occupation of Iraq, torture, abortion, and gay rights–The Real McCain reveals a politician who started as a Goldwater Republican, experienced a brief period after sanity after his loss to George W. Bush in 2000, and began pandering to the very groups he challenged after deciding to run again in 2008.

From the Back Cover: Cliff Schecter provides us with some real “straight talk” about John McCain. Everyone who wants to know why John McCain won’t give us health care but will keep us fighting endless wars and sell our personal freedoms to far-right theocrats should read this book.

Racism and Bigotry Prevails - ReTHUGlican Senators Kill Immigration Bill

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

In a close vote a few hours ago, US Senators [Overwhelmingly Republican] voted 53-46 against “Cloture” — a procedural vote to limit debate on the immigration bill, to move it forward for further consideration. The “Ayes” failed to garner the 60 votes, with which to keep the bill alive.

The smoking “murder weapon” is in the hands of Republicans — and the Senators are unlikely to return to this comprehensive reform bill until after next year’s presidential election.

Right Wing America has prevailed — they have won one “illusionary” battle and not the war, which will continue into 2009. Republicans are excitedly claiming “victory,” but the facts show that they killed a long list of enforcement remedies they said they wanted.

What victory? The 12-20 million are still here….and no one will deport them summarily! It’s simple — it can’t be and won’t be done.

“This immigration debate has become a war between the American people and their government,” proclaimed Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), who led a small group of Republican senators who used every parliamentary maneuver they could find to stymie progress on the bill over the past month. “It transcends anything about immigration. It has become a crisis of confidence.”

Jim failed to clarify an important fact: This debate is a war between the government and a mere 30% of America — angry voices of hate, venom and racism.

For now, these bigots will celebrate — for a new “Open Season” is at hand — white supremacists, neo-Nazis and other racists are indeed licking their chops like hungry hyenas — with POWERFUL “BLOOD DRIPPING” FANGS extended menacingly for the kill — MAIN TARGET: Latino Immigrants, otherwise known as “Wetbacks” — a racist derogatory term for a Mexican or Central American who is in the United States illegally. The term is based on the presumption that the person in question swam or waded across the Rio Grande to get into the United States, getting his or her back wet in the process.

The level and intensity of attacks against Hispanics by right-wing extremists, anti-immigration maniacs — including pathological propaganda egotists like Lou Dobbs of CNN, is set to reach a new high, not forgetting the crude Fascist rhetoric of the right-wing authoritarian dumb-ass hate-mongers at FOX News. Right-Wing Talk radio and TV fear-mongering has played a major role in defeating this bill by urging listeners to flood Congress with calls, faxes and e-mails, prompting a handful of Democrats representing “intolerant constituencies” to vote NO. This dastardly campaign will continue in full force, and will get even uglier.

These Senators [Especially the Democratic ones] have succumbed to Neo-Nazi and extremists threats of terrorist violence, including truck bombs, machine gun attacks, and assassinations of U.S. senators and members of Congress.

In fact, House Majority leader, Senator Reid revealed today that he had received “Fax Threats” suggesting that he enter into an “FBI Witness Protection Program,” if this bill went through.

Most of these senators clearly voted not in principle, but for their selfish hides. Especially, the so-called “Conservative Democrats,” — ducked and ran toward the safety of their “intolerant” political bases.

A minority 30% has barked loudly and raised a stink, like mad dogs and skunks — and the Senate has acquiesced — with their “limp tails” tightly between their legs.

This is proof that even though America is a beacon of justice in this world of ours — calculated right wing fear-mongering has successfully extracted the innermost “darkness” of the American psyche — Blind Racism with little room for compromise.

Mexican President Felipe Calderón in response to the U.S. Senate’s decision had this to say:

“It is highly hypocritical that the United States admits migrants as peasants, but does not accept them as citizens. A state that sends troops to the Middle East to try to implant democracy and respect for human rights does not practice such supreme values in its own territory.”

Calderón predicted that the Senate’s decision would increase illegal migration and “generate worse conditions and insecurity on both sides of the border. The migration problem cannot be resolved simply with speeches; it requires concrete resolutions.”

Mexican President Felipe Calderón, Lynching, Cradle of the Confederacy, Nativists, ICE, Police Raids, INS, Vigilantism, Minutemen,

30% of the population — America’s bigots, still living in the past, in my opinion is not representative of this great nation. They are just a bunch of nincompoops stuck in “Macaca ‘Market Place’ Lynching Mud,” while bathing in the ‘Cradle of the Confederacy‘ — hoping to be safe from “leprosy, pedophiles, Spanish and rampant godlessness.”

What to expect next

ICE” and Police raids that have been sending ripples of fear throughout immigrant communities all over the United States, are set to intensify their “ill-meaning” raids. Vigilantism by racist groups like the “Minutemen,” has been emboldened. Immigrant families which are already being torn apart haphazardly and indiscriminately, will witness a surge in an “Enforcement Only” solution.

Helpless immigrants are lost in American Politics.

I still maintain the following: Any person who has lived in the United States for several years, has participated fully in the system, and has no felonious mis-deeds, belongs here and ought to be treated with some respect — the firm stand — “depot them all,” “we are a nation of laws” — is just a smokescreen for — “we wish this good old USA was 100% lily white.” …a convenient tool for extortion. It is not only inhuman but also bigoted to the core.
