McCain’s ‘Pathological’ Lying & Mental Lapses — Signs of ‘Bi-Polar’ Senility?

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Ronald Wilson Reagan assumed office at the age of 69, served two terms, and left office in 1988 at the age of 77. Shortly after he left office he was “diagnosed” with Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease (AD), is the most common form of dementia a.k.a. senility. It is an incurable, degenerative, and terminal disease, generally diagnosed in people over 65 years of age.

The earliest observable symptoms are often mistakenly thought to be “age-related” concerns, or manifestations of stress. In the early stages, the most commonly recognized symptom is memory loss, such as difficulty in remembering recently learned facts. As the disease advances, symptoms include confusion, irritability and aggression, mood swings, language breakdown, long-term memory loss, and the general withdrawal of the sufferer as their senses decline. Gradually, bodily functions are lost, ultimately leading to death.

Did Ronald Reagan have this disease while he was President?

When Reagan disclosed in November 1994 that he had Alzheimer’s disease, many people could not help suspecting that the illness had begun to rob him of memory while he was in the White House. Throughout his years in Washington, Mr. Reagan had been portrayed by many pundits and political opponents as absent-minded, inattentive, incurious, even lazy. And his Presidency was marked by a succession of very public mental stumbles — most notably his dismal performance in the first debate of the 1984 campaign, and his confused and forgetful accounting of his role in the Iran-contra affair — during which the Reagan dictatorship funded of CIA death squads to safeguard the corporate thievery by US multinational companies in Latin American countries. | Ronald Reagan Videos |

Dr. Louis A. Gottschalk, a prominent neurologist and psychiatrist believes that Ronald Reagan was indeed starting to display early signs of Alzheimer’s Disease as the time of the presidential debates between candidates Walter Mondale and Ronald Reagan in 1984.

A close look at McCain during this election cycle clearly reveals that there is definitely something wrong with his thought processes, very similar to Reagan’s, probably worse. He is having difficulty in expressing simple ideas and thoughts, sometimes stumbling in a dazed and confused stupor — He mis-pronounces, forgets and mix up facts and names, in some instances he fiddles with hands for extended periods of time before “gaffing” an answer.

McCain Dazed and Confused

McCain’s widely documented bouts of anger over the years could be attributed to PTSS (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome) — after the beatings he suffered at the hands of the VietCong. Anger as we all know always affects decision making — in a negative manner. In McCain’s case — judgement about issues such as war, and the use of nuclear weapons, etc.

McCain’s tendency to blame everything on adversaries (read Obama), the “blatant lies” and innuendo is alarming. When asked why he has been hurling lies like a “Goat-Herder” in the middle of nowhere in Africa, McCain’s only answer has always been — “Its a tough campaign.

McCain's Lies & Mud-Flinging

Author Lloyd Richmond, Ph.D., on “Psychological Honesty,”… says: “Even a pathological liar carries deep in his heart a desire for goodness and honesty and yet, because of painful emotional wounds, believes that the world never has, and never will, recognize his pain. And so, to hide that pain from himself, he uses all the lies he can concoct to hurl at the world as he runs in fear from his own goodness.”

Joe Klein of Time Magazine says: “Almost every politician stretches the truth….but McCain’s lies have ranged from the annoying to the sleazy, and the problem is in both degree and kind. His campaign has been a ceaseless assault on his opponent’s character and policies, featuring a consistent–and witting–disdain for the truth.” Klein adds: “Worse than the lies have been the smears. McCain ran a television ad claiming that Obama favored “comprehensive” sex education for kindergartners. (Obama favored a bill that would have warned kindergartners about sexual predators and improper touching.)” …[ Read More ]

Paul Abrams, writing for the Huffington Post demands: “McCain, has a greater obligation, putting “country first,” to have an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) because he chose Sarah Palin to be a heartbeat, or degeneration or metastasis away from the Presidency,”…..to provide assurance that, for now at least, he has no brain metastases, due his frequent bouts with melanoma, which is a cancer that can spread widely in the body to almost any organ, including brain, lung, bone and liver.

McCain is Risky

Reagan the Serial Liar who made Americans feel good about themselves, was not only ill informed but probably partially senile most of his second term. His denial of knowledge of the details Contra Scandal may have been sincere — for the “semi-senile” president was being manipulated by the criminal war-profiteering cabal surrounding him.

Some have suggested that The Iran-contra affair was actually a gun-running, drug smuggling operation run out of Mena, Arkansas, under the direction of Vice President Bush (SNR), leader of the The Criminal “High Cabal.”

These things were happening under the nose of a “semi-senile” president Reagan.

It is the same Cabal that surrounds the current puppet president — George W. Bush, who is not senile but is equally decrepit, due to his inability to grasp complex issues — instead dangerously and recklessly hiding behind GOD, to camouflage poor reasoning, and an in-adequate intellectual capacity needed to conduct domestic and world affairs.

McCain is not as dumb as George Bush, but as senility sets in — and if he is elected president, with the present global economic and military turmoil, the rate of “aging” will quadruple — and he may even die in office. With Alzheimer’s and Melanoma eating into his “Cold-War” brain, “Maverick” McCain would turn out to be costlier to the United States than George Bush.

Bush’s eight years of ignorance and outright stupidity MUST not be replaced by four years “senility.

A “half-brain dead” McCain is likely to become a puppet of the Neo-Con Cabal — which, right now, is very busy trying to sneak into a possible McCain administration hidden behind Sarah Palin’s skirt!

And, his choice of Sarah Palin as his running-mate does not help things at all. At a time when America is facing very serious domestic and international constraints, the choice of Palin, who so far has distinguished herself only as a “Feisty” cheerleader borders on insanity — further evidence that McCain cannot think clearly and/or he is just another charlatan, practising “quackery” or something similar, to trick the American people — the SANE one’s at least — and not, the “Energized” “Conservative Base” — The most ignorant and racist quadrant of America, who have never hesitated in supporting and glorifying willful ignorance, in order to advance their agenda of intolerance.

‘My Friends,’ …..’I just delivered a mediocre speech’

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Poor John McCain.

The “Hyena howling” by the convention delegates didn’t help. It just drowned an abominable speech.

Silhouetted in an awful solid blue background and resplendently bedecked in an expensive “elitist suit” without a FLAG PIN, John McBush delivered one of the worst speeches I have ever heard a U.S. presidential candidate make.

He was clumsy, un-inspiring and appeared ill at ease.

Compared to yesterday’s speech by the Killer From Wasilla (Sarah Palin), McCain looked old, stuffy and very much “Bob Dole Like.

Best summary of the McCain platform: While attempting to argue that McCain would constitute a change from the last eight years, Tom Ridge hilariously declared that “John Bush” is his own man.

Simply put — this was a very badly delivered speech, lacking in specifics fraught with ineffectual choruses like “Fight With Me!,” … “Fight With Me!,” … “Fight With Me!” — useless slogans which will not work Mr. McCain!

After three days of juvenile negative attacks — and no mention of tangible proposals to fix the American economy or to fix health care — the most pressing issues this election cycle, the ReTHUGlicans are codling Americans for four more years of right-wing dictatorship, fear mongering and GOD sanctioned thuggery.

Jeffrey Toobin of CNN hit the nail on the head when he said:“I thought it was the worst speech by a nominee that I’ve heard since Jimmy Carter in 1980. I thought it was disorganized, I thought it was it was theme-less, I thought it was very, very boring…I personally cannot remember a single policy proposal that he made because they had nothing connecting them. I found it shockingly bad.

While listening to the speech Michael Crowley of The New Republic wrote: “It’s not over yet but this is a very underwhelming speech. Familiar points explained in pedestrian terms. No overarching themes–right now it’s sounding like a State of the Union laundry list. Even the crowd in the hall isn’t jazzed. This is the sort of reception Tom Ridge got.

McCain’s willful mis-representation of Barack Obama’s positions, just like Sarah Palin did yesterday, a general lack of details on policies and, his GOD pandering to right-wing extremism didn’t amount to CHANGE, his new rallying cry — borrowed from Barack Obama, who has been using it consistently since the Democratic primaries.

The speech deteriorated pathetically when McCain embarked on a lengthy narration of his capture and torture in Vietnam, something he should delegate permanently to his surrogates.

The P.O.W. card …may only work with thug-bigots on the extreme right who love beating up on the weak, and/or the very old who are still clinging to cold-war nostalgia.

Thirty five year old war stories are stale and won’t work Johnny!, especially with Obama’s youthful base.

Who cares how and whether the VietCong broke your legs and arms — while caged like an animal in Vietnam, while America was losing another illegal war — a war that started when a European colonialist (France) asked Neo-European-Colonialist (America) to help it maintain a grip on it’s illegally acquired colony, resulting in Vietnam splitting into two, and causing the Vietnamese to slit each others throats — just like the Shia and the Sunni have been doing in Iraq.

It is also evident that McCain wants to have it both ways — “disembowel” Obama on one night, then brag about how he will bring change and bi-partisanship to Washington the next day! — Too many contradictions and too much confusion.

The right-wing snakes may like that, but I really doubt if McCain won any more independents last night with that kind of rhetoric, for that’s not CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN!

While the Killer From Wasilla exceeded expectations the other day, McCain clearly failed in delivering the biggest speech in his life.

I give Johnny a big C- …and only because he conducted himself with some decency, unlike the sadistic presentation by Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York, who gave the keynote speech on Wednesday night.

The THUG of New York a.k.aAmerica’s Mayor” was exceedingly vicious!

Rules of War

Columnist – John Sammon
Columnist - John SammonThat old line. That refrain. Where have I heard it before? It’s a sure sign you’re not doing well in a war when you start accusing the other side of not fighting fair.

I’ve noticed lately, people are saying the insurgents in Iraq are evil cowards because they use innocent civilians as human shields when they plant their bombs or stage ambushes. In other words, they’re not fighting the war the way we want them to. Our side are the good guys because they don’t fight that way (although there have been a lot of trials of Marines lately for murder and rape, one on a fourteen year old girl).

This mind-set is fascinating, bizarre, sophomoric, simplistic, absolutely incredulous in its mind numbing imperviousness to common sense. Sociologically, I don’t think Americans have advanced much from the days when they went to afternoon Western movie matinees and rooted for the guy in the white hat (with the white horse).

Forget for just a second who you think is all in the right, and who’s all in the wrong in the Iraq War. Throw that out.

If you were a rag-tag religious fanatic hiding in a basement, would you come out in the open and fight a set-piece battle like the Battle of Waterloo with an opponent who is ten-million times more powerful than you in firepower and technology? Would you let that opponent enjoy these overwhelming advantages so that he could easily wipe you out? As a misbegotten shoeless bearded turbaned ragamuffin, would you fight the world’s most powerful super power in a way that would give the super power all the advantages of its firepower and technology? In other words.

How do you fight an opponent in a boxing ring as a boxer with gloves on who’s younger than you, taller than you, faster than you, a better boxer than you, more powerful than you, and smarter than you? You fight dirty. Hit low. Or clinch and run. Otherwise you’ll be knocked out. No! No way man! You’ll sneak around and plant bombs. Hide in basements. Use people as shields. Whatever it takes to keep your movement and you alive. You’d do the same thing the Vietcong did in Vietnam. Or for that matter, the American Indians (Native Americans) in the Indian Wars of the 1870s.

We accused them of fighting dirty too. Interestingly, we today have warmer, fairly normal relations with the former Vietcong. And though Indians believed in a different God and often mutilated their victims (scalping), I never hear anyone today call them “evil.” The insurgents are fighting the way, the only way, they can. I’m not saying they are good people. I’m not justifying what they do. Or what they think.

But what about what we’ve done?

If using people as human shields is unethical, is the use of state-of-the-art helicopter gun ships to indiscriminately strafe blocks of apartments where terrorists are supposedly hiding, killing women and children. Is that honorable? Why don’t we just take a glove out and slap the other guy across the face and challenge him to a duel?

War itself is an obscene act. Mayhem.

To say there’s a fair way to fight it…..in some twisted sort of gentlemanly fashion, with some vague rules of humane gentility observed…is ludicrous. If they’ve (insurgents) done wrong, we helped. We unleashed this Pandora’s Box when we attacked them.

We initiated hostilities. That means, we started the fight. We invaded their neighborhoods with our humvees. It’s their country. Not ours. They didn’t do 9-11. There were no weapons of mass destruction. Those were lies. We didn’t try hard enough for a more peaceful and less costly solution. All-out war is not the only means to deal with situations we don’t like. We told the UN weapons inspectors get out of the way. It’s too late. It was reckless. We’re all paying the price.
